I just bought myself Jinbao's version of Nero Rex. Hopefully it'll get here by my birthday at the end of the month.
To me it looks like the best combiner ever, I just absolutely love the black and purple styling. I might also get Jinbao's version of Bruticus/Warbotron next, but that's besides the point.

The point is there are awesome giant black and purple robots in the world, to name a few: TFC Toys Poseidon Noir, GCreation Dark Shuraking, Toyworld Dark Constructor, and Generation Toy Black Judge. Sadly, they all cost roughly around $500, which is way more than I'm willing to spend on one.  

Do you know of any more? Or better yet, of upcoming KO versions of them from the likes of Jinbao or others that'll be more around the $100-150 price range?

I'd be happy to hear about the ones that aren't gigantic combinators too, if anyone has any suggestions of figures I missed that are black and purple.  

My first Transformer since getting into the hobby a few months ago was a KO of DOTM Shockwave, and while there's no black there, it was close enough for me with the shades of grey and the shade of purple used. Love the look of that one, too bad he's not as poseable as I would've liked.

I'm very much considering getting the black & purple version of Snarl (AOE style, I think? Possibly made by Wei Jiang? Not sure about the specifics, and I need to post a bit more before I'm allowed to post links, but I hope you know which figure I'm talking about). Can't find a video review for him though except for one made by thecollector75.

I also spotted a black and purple Megatron - KBB Obsidian, but the shade they went for is too blue for my liking. Also aware of Generations Megatron, that one's pretty nifty (both the official and GT Tyrant).

Well, there’s these. Quick lineup, terrible pic because nighttime. Ignore non-purple background bots on top shelf.
Animated Shadowblade Megatron and WFC Takara Darkside Megatron are highly recommended, esp the latter. Clear purple Terrorcon TFP Cliffjumper and Dark Energon Megatron are also nice.

GT Tyrant is a underrated star. He’s fantastic in both modes. Generations bomber Megs too, though mine is the Takara.

There’s a purple OSKO of WFC Optimus which is allegedly poor quality, but looks good. MP-10SG has a black trailer and is pretty damn amazing. KBB Obsidian I had and sold, but found his purples less blue in hand to my eyes at least.

BMB Dark Commander

 

I was actually trying to find all my shadow bot pics, but I couldn’t find them. I’m into Hotwheels scaled cars at the moment. Been trying a few out.

From left to right:
1) That car got me looking into them more than just buying for my nephew and a few mates with young boys. Hotwheels Japan Historics wave 2, Nissan Skyline C210. Metal on metal with Real Riders (rubber tires).

2) The dark purple one is a real nice Tomica LV-N151b Nissan Skyline GT-R. More detail, clear headlights and even a working suspension. I’ve been getting a few Tomica cars.

3) I’m not sure, it’s some kinda resin model in a little display case. I don’t think I should be touching it, but I want to. And it doesn’t look like it rolls, but the wheels are gorgeous (this is like those non-transforming transformers... cars that don’t roll). Says 12 of 50 and there’s fine print decals all over I can’t read till magnified on my phone! Box says Veloce 458 LB-works LB Performance Liberty Walk. Whatever all that means, I just liked the look of that Ferrari.

4) Another Tomica but in a flashier box that says Limited Vintage Neo Nissan concept 2020 vision gran turismo (what a long name). It seems to have a lot less going for it than the other one though. No suspension, no detail beneath the car just a flat panel (maybe coz it’s a concept car though). And it feels a lot lighter being metal on plastic. Actually, I think half the top is also plastic.

5) One of this years Hotwheels Super Treasure Hunts (a chase car in the basic releases that come with upgraded Real Riders and Spectraflame paint), the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I really couldn’t let this one go, especially after getting those extreme cars. So I hunted for the cheapest one I could find. I like Porsche’s and this ones okay. I mean it’s really nice, but after comparing to all the previous cars. No competition. All the imperfections or shortcuts really really stand out. I also don’t know if I’m a fan of the Hotwheels Spectraflame, their way of making metallic cars by using a thin transparent lacquer over the metal body. If you look hard enough you can see where the paint runs or pools and even the abrasions on the metal beneath the paint.

 

I initially thought they were 5 transformers in their alt modes, didn't realize they were toy cars to begin with, but thanks for the detailed answer anyway.  
I too have several versions of Shockwave (3 so far), including that one with the pink eye, he's my favorite character in terms of looks. Shrike's Feather is on my wishlist too, but not near the top of it.
And that Dark Commander is looking absolutely fantastic too. I'm generally more partial to Optimus in the truck modes that are more G1 inspired (I have KBB Commander and love it, and have a cell shaded MP10 KO high on my wishlist), but the BMB is also very tempting with those colours.

I just got the Takiongzhans/Kubian/Shoucang(?) KO of AOE Slug, and I think he also kinda qualifies for this thread. I do wish the dark grey on him was blacker, but he's awesome looking regardless. Also, he's my first bot with swords for weapons, and I actually like them better than I expected.  

 

I believe Generation Toy has a black and purple IDW Megatron. Pretty sure there is a Black and Red Soundwave. If you switch the translucent parts you can make a black and purple shockwave as well

 

I just got the whole KO GT Gravity Builder from Daban (same size and details as original), and i really love it. Maybe they will do a black version one day.
