I will not be surprised if this gets delayed for quite some time. Planet X has definitely siphoned off quite a few potential sales.

So Z-Def is going to be a lot taller than Leader size?

Man I have no idea what people even mean by leader size these days I swear the term means something different every time its mentioned :lol

MMC's voyagers are like 6 - 6.5 n ultras are like 7.5 inches and D-Zef is considerably larger:

I don't know about others, but I define "Leader size" as MP-10 size. Takara even advertised the Leader Class CW Megatron next to MP-10 because they were essentially the same size. It isn't fully comprehensive of history, but it is a simple measure that most people are familiar with. I also think of MP carbots for Voyager size and MP Bumblebee for Deluxe size. Of course Siege "Leaders" are only Voyager size with extra parts to try and justify charging more.

Yeah sounds about right. D-Zef is bigger than most leader class figures then I suppose similar to FT's Roadking and GT's Tyrant n so forth.

Siege Magnus weighs more than CW Magnus for what it's worth, but yeah he is about the same size as an older voyager like T30 Brainstorm. So, leader mass may be something to take into account when considering size class-- a figure can be bigger but less substantial. Having handled Siege Ultra Magnus, he's definitely more of a leader than a voyager what with the complexity of the design and the lack of hollow plastic. If anything, he reminds of the old Energon Ultra figures like Landmine and Bulkhead. I'd put figures like D-zef into the new "commander" class (which is similar to the old Cybertron-era leader class) because of the complexity and amount of plastic used in the design. I'd wager he weighs similarly to Siege Jetfire unless he's hollow.

Yeah, sorry. I mean Generations. Titans Return, ect Leaders like Overlord, Super Ginrai, God Bomber, Dai Atlas, Star Convoy ect. The guys I'd want Deathsaurus to scale closely with. Sounds like this guy is going to be bigger than that unfortunately.

Ah well, that’s the uncertainty of wanting all scale to be like in your mind. Not always gonna happen.

There are good arguments about the Siege Leaders being better figures, but it still muddies the waters in discussing "is figure x Leader Class size". It will get worse if the other parts of the WFC trilogy continue the smaller size and memory of the older size fades for some people.

Outside of the voyagers, MMC's size classes seem to be "whatever we feel like making," they're always a bit different from Hasbro's classes. I suppose there's no real reason to attribute official size classes to third party figures at all, it's confusing and usually not quite accurate--official size classes have fluctuated since the start of the franchise. I just use size comparison photos to get an idea of a figure's size.

I forgot all about this figure. I'm canceling my preorder, too many delays at this point.

I'm probably wrong and I'll be corrected if so, but isn't it supposed to be next month for his release?

We haven't seen him in color yet have we? It is possible MMC is producing it without sharing any updated pictures, but that isn't their standard practice. Even if it is scheduled for next month (I honestly have no idea, I don't keep track for most companies figuring it comes when it comes) I wouldn't expect them to meet that schedule having not even shown him in color.

I think this is the best attitude to have about this. It's probably harder to think like that if you order from somewhere that requires prepayment, but that's one of the reasons I avoid purchasing from those places.
