Ah so like MP 44's biggest improvement over MP10.

I planned on getting MP 22 in December, what are the chances of a v2 of Ultra Magnus? Seems pretty low to me

I suspect Fort Max's poor showing was probably a product of his feasibility. Either you get him out of scale, in which case meh...or let's hypothetically say they give you a proper MP FM to scale. Even back then when the prices were quite attractive for the line, a proper Fort Max would have cost an utter fortune. We're talking at least Unicron prices or more...probably more even if they were doing MP level quality. Based on that, I would have ranked FM quite low on a desired product list, too. Now, make it a list of 'we will give you any of the following for free,' I think his popularity probably soars up the chart! I don't know if it comes in at the top of the list, but I guarantee it isn't a pathetic .3%

However, either way...I think that is all you need to know about the likelihood of figures like Omega Supreme and the like in the MP line. As awesome as they would be, it's pretty clear most fans would rather just get several other characters for their money.

The trouble with combiners is that they’re not feasible for box sets in the current style, and Dev would possibly take up to 4 years to find fully release.

MP-50 will probally be a repaint or v2/v3 of an existing character we already have in the line. MP-44 will be my last Prime because I'm loosing interest in the line.

Still wish this Prime had a silver stripe in Alt-mode... I know its show accurate, but it looks so plain.

Yeah, I think that's probably the case. Otherwise you'd have literally an entire year and a half of MP releases that's just the constructicons which really would put off the people who have no interest in them. Seems like a great way to lose fan equity. I wouldn't be opposed to a one-a-year system for 6 years, but we know that Hasbro can't be trusted to not completely re-work the line in the middle so we'll have a sideswipe/sunstreaker situation.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't save MP-44 to be MP-50. I don't know if that's a sign that they don't see any significance in the number and will just release whatever next, or if they have a significant figure worthy to be MP-50.

MP 50-52 being Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge would be pretty neat.

    Unicron says hello.:D
Looking at their market an 750-850 is not out of the question. Then again they could split the box sets into 2-2-1 or 3-3. That's pretty much lthe same as buying the SOC Voltron this month and the other one in Nov. I think what's hard to gauge is we're not used to stuff like that in the Transformers line. I doubt they have the same headaches we have about price or how they would go about release.

Yup, my sentiments exactly. If that poll were redone, I'd be curious to see how much better Fort Max would do if Takara clarified on the front end what they'd do if he won.

At this rate, a straight-up toy version with the silver stripe back (amongst other things) being offered at some point wouldn't surprise me much.

Someone just promise me that if we get a Masterpiece Galvatron, the thread title will be, “Behold...(Masterpiece) Galvatron!”, and if we get a Rodimus V2, it’ll say, “Arise, Rodimus Prime...2.0”.

Considering that they’re not even at 2500 of 8000 backers for Unicron with only 2 weeks left, I don’t think he does. Right now, Unicron is looking like a miss, unfortunately.

Trying to payoff my next 2 MPs (freaking lazyazzed family member not paying their portion of the bills), so I'm forced to sell off a few items.
Anyone interested in a couple of TTLegends? Windblade and Slipstream. Also have Chromia, but trying to hold on to her if I can.

Yeah, I'm not expecting Japan to fill even a 1000 POs for Unicron, I'd be surprised with 500. He is though 70000-something yen of a figure all at one time. I just think "that's too much money at one time" doesn't apply to the current line. I think the fact they are willing to push Unicron like they are , though nice, but not at their current MP level, bodes kind of well for MP combiners. If anything I think they are looking at the SOC stuff like God Sigma and the Voltrons' popularity and probably have some plans on getting their own combiners out. That and mosre of the unite ones sold really well, some even as more expensive Mall releases.

Agreed. I think that’s much more realistic, particularly since combiners could be spaced over 5-6 releases. Each would be pricey, but entirely doable.

On the other side, that Unicron, while amazing, is a lot of money with very little notice. I put a little bit aside every paycheque for MPs, and that keeps me ahead, but Unicron falls outside of my collecting goals.

Knowing Takara, they’d probably release the cons in such a way that you can’t make any sort of satisfying combination until the last release. I’m guessing:
    Scrapper
    Scavenger
    Mixmaster
    Bonecrusher
    Long Haul
    Hook

Also, I wouldn’t count on any redecos, at least not unless the originals sell wildly well. We can expect a single release for each, in a very toon-accurate deco and sculpt.

The idea of a proper MP Devastator makes me weak in the knees. It would be my second favorite personal possession in my entire life right after 44 Prime.

Sadly I’d need to buy 3 Devastators. For the EXTREME DISPLAY OPTIONS!

If that 8000 is worldwide and the rest of the world outside of the US and Canada haven't been added yet, it might still stand a chance. Personally, it matters zero to me if it happens. It is outside of my collecting desires, too...and fucking ridiculously priced. Then again, you look at what MP-44 costs, it's hard to fault them for coming up with that price. It's probably more bang for your buck...even if I have no use for it.

So, after much noodling, I've decided I'm gonna use some of my check come Friday to pick up Cheetor, then save up a bit and get Primal to go with him.

Question is, when that time comes, do I get MP-32 or MP-38?

I get the price, given the size and complexity, it makes sense. For me, I just don’t much care for the 86 lineup. That figure is ridiculously complex and detailed.
