while this might definitely be small for my MFT Megatron, and HS Soundwave, I hope this will have a proper base for the neck, and not that thick slab in DX9, and MFT. looking forward as well for more MST Decepticons so I can branch out my collection.

The back may look quite similar but go back and look at the pics we've seen of the front of the bots. Improvements galore IMO. No weird neck block, better feet. And even hinged elbows instead of ball joints. I got the Pocket Toys KO of the coneheads. And I may stick with them as they are not characters I'm overly fussed about. But I'm so glad I was waiting on better for Starscream, etc. These are looking much better.

And who am I kidding, I'll probably end up with the whole squad. LOL

I love the DX9 Seekers. So if this one is like them with improved articulation, I'm more than fine with that!

it's interesting it's interesting because I've already sold off some of the pieces from my Legend scale collection, enough so as big gaps, but the possibility of being able to come up on a new one relatively cheap is reasonably High since there are so many options coming out I know people will be Trading up for new versions. Should I liquidate the rest of what I have or just wait to fill it out? Decisions decisions

Is Seaspray in the background a legion class figure, he looks half the size of this supposedly legends sized figure?

I still don't understand why they don't flip the tail fins inside the wings so the bigger wings are at the back and it hides the other parts inside.
This is the easiest way to hide all the bottom half.
Similar to what a revoltech looks like where the wings are further back and same with the thrusters. Making it easier to have a better proportioned head as well.
It also gives the arms more articulation without having to always angle the wings backwards !!
But that's just me 2 cents.

Either way, been hoping for DX9 upscaled, but since they haven't yet, I hope these get upscaled to voyager since we don't have any food G1 seekers at that size !!

I just went and looked at the New Age ones to compare. There is no question the back cleans up better on NA, but Magic Squares isn't bad. The important thing though is the front is SO MUCH BETTER from Magic Square.

I think the magic square seekers are very good. Even in grey they look like the source material.

The waist doesnt cut the cockpit like NA and that is significant. The other thing is Magic Square can articulate the Nullrays because they are attached to a part of the arm that moves where NA like DX9 before cant move. NA should really fix this while still in prototype, another signifcant win for Magic Square in this department. I keep going on about in it all the threads but it really is the difference between a boring seeker toy and a fun one.

No neck block, cleaner legs, and an ab crunch for improvements though

The landing gear... is an odd choice but I pretty much never display my jets like that. They are either in hand or on a stand of some sort in jet mode. So that's not that important to me. I definitely want to see more of both this and NA's design. Their carbots are too short for my sense of scale but based on the photos of NA's Starscream it looks like they are closer to what I expect. Nice to have options.

I thought at first that they had painted the canopy on Starscream - the gloss surprised me. Looking at it again, it looks like it's amber colored but transparent. An unusual choice given none of their other bots have had transparent windows. And there's zero detail to be seen through it...
