I soooo want a red Diaclone version of that Mirage with that head as a new character.

 

Man is there some way to complete Astrotrains shuttle mode that I'm missing?

 

I think thats just the price of having a fully purple train turn into a mostly grey shuttle/robot.

 

I find it funny how many people are bashing Spinister for the colors on the figure, when that’s the main reason why I want it. It’s so beautiful.

 

Spinister's colors now really remind me of those Trix Yogurt cups I used to eat in like the 3rd grade.

I thought Impactor had a purple head crest and Barricade had a black waist... can't say I like the reduced color breakup. Other than that these photos look great though, especially Spinister. What a garishly handsome lad.

 

He had red eyes in IDW too.

 

Yea something is screwy with that impactor. We’ve known about the reduced colors on barricade for awhile but in package images of impactor have a purple fin.

 

Hot damn, Barricade looks slick.

Astrotrain is getting bought. He looks a lot more interesting to me than the TR version.

Crosshairs may be a redeco, but he captures the spirit of the original cartoon model really well, so I don't mind. I'll have 3 of this mold with Ironhide and Ratchet, but Crosshairs has a different head, so that helps.

Spinister is mine. Love that ridiculously bright pink and blue that a lot of later G1 Decepticons had.

As much as I like Impactor's headsculpt in the 3-pack, I think I'll stick with the Autobot version. The Powerdasher is a nice inclusion in the 3-pack, but I need to save money for things I want more (like the other 2 Powerdashers).

Astrotrain looks awesome.

 

It's just kinda surprising Impactor is getting a toy period. A comics-only character (and previously UK-only) doesn't exactly have notoriety out the tailpipe, but then, Drift-chan, also previously a comic invention, got a toy AND adapted into the movies and cartoons, so who knows.

He isn't a huge draw for me, though. Blue Mirage is.

I'm just hoping, with the renewed focus on cartoon accuracy, we may get a new Blitzwing. Neither of the previous toys hit all the right check boxes for me, at least not entirely. More than anything, I want a properly boxy and angular MiG-25 alt mode. Even if he's in the line after Siege, I'll still be happy.

Barricade..just too much lavender all in a centralized area. It really needs to be broken up. If his arms were mostly black it would work much better. Hell, torso too.

 

why did the idw impactor head have to be the decepticon version?! i get the marvel version being used, but i love the idw version so much better but i don\'t wanna get the 3 pack, especially since he\'s got the decepticon emblem. i\'ll never truly understand why hasbro originally listed him in the fan vote as a decepticon, especially with soooooooooooooooooooo many decepticons to choose from
