True, but we did get that look on the throne that confirms it is 98% sure to look dopey. And seriously, why is the guy holding it that way other than to hide something the looks subjectively bad? If I were taking a pic to show him off, I'd be squeezing it on the sides to show as much as possible.

Prototype with loose joints and he's holding it together with his hand? Dunno' but I'm sure we'll see more soon. Newage aren't exactly known for being slow. Seems that Megatron is just about the hardest character to get right and it really wouldn't take much to improve on DX9's design so I'll probably get him even if he isn't ideal just because it's unlikely there'll be a better one at this scale.

.... and no, a tank Megatron doesn't count, for those who were gonna' say it.

Hahaha! You know, I might actually be tempted by a tank Megatron but it'd have to look pretty damn close to his G1 self in bot mode and it'd have to transform into a real world tank (or at least fairly close), not some weird Cybertronian Shagohad  

 

It just must be tough to make a Megatron that matches the animation design and still transform into pistol.
I like IF's cheat, but GT may still reign as my favorite G1 Megatron that actually transforms.

 

I'm still there too.

Obviously he is not 100% Sunbow, but he has the bulk and look of a bot that can back up all that 'peace through tyranny' talk.

One thing I really prefer about him is how clean the robot mode is. New Age, and I expect Magic Square in time, is very panel-heavy, breaking up the body parts.

Unfortunately, the more of these closer to 1:64 figures I collect, the more oversized he gets. I'm counting on MST's Soundwave to bridge the gap, and then I might go with MFT's Seeker KOs.

Colour helps, but he still feels kinda ropey to me. I guess it's the nature of the beast, making a Megatron gun this size is no mean feat and given it looks better than mightron I'll probably bite

 

I think everyone is forgetting this is legends class. The engineering is superb for this size. He may not be perfect, but it’s potentially the best representation that we are getting for this class size. Let’s see what happens.

 

Think he’s probably not for me, but hips wise, isn’t he using the same setup at mp soundwave, who people generally didn’t seem to have a problem with?

 

For a small legends figure that transforms into a gun, he looks superb. I still get the mini MP vibe from him.

 

If he's the same size as the Dx-9 megatron I'll be happy.
