I wasn't crazy about Barricade when I first saw him, but I've really warmed up to him. Not sure if they've made changes, or if this is just a more flattering angle. He reminds me of WFC video game Barricade a little bit.

I really like Spinster's design, but I hope we get a Vortex repaint. I'm not familiar with the Spinster character, but the bright pink and blue are a bit much for me. Vortex was one of my favorite childhood designs, and I'd love to see him represented with that spectacular mold. I really don't collect a lot these days, but that would be an instant buy.

 

I think the wide trailer thing is a sort of space-tender car composed of shuttle mode kibble. I’m assuming in its tender-mode it has some of the shuttle parts attached to the inside, and it then combiners with the torso in robot mode to form the backpack and folds out to become the wings in shuttle mode. There may be some parts-forming, but it would have been that or a much worse train mode.

 

the tender has no shuttle mode parts, it turns into a launch platform for the shuttle. the actual triple changing figure (minus 2nd train car/launch platform/weapon rack) is entirely self contained

 

Presumably he's based off of Sunbow Prowl, who apparently never had shoulder guns.

 

I want to take a second to applaud Hasbro for finally stepping up their game on photography. Miles better than what we have gotten in the past.

Also, I’m scared of that lower leg setup on Mirage. The way those wheels stick out looks terrible. Simply cannot wait for Barricade and Spinister!

 

I for one, would love a sentinel prime repaint. It would provide a repaint option for future astrotrains and give sentinel a figure where he wouldn't get one. I would also just buy it because i think it would be awesome.

 

Perhaps Aragon might garner some visual distinction if the guns were moved to the alternative postion.

 

Sort of disappointed in how messy the backend of Astrotrain’s shuttle mode looks. Still going to grab it though.

 

It forms a weapon rack in robot mode and a launch base in shuttle mode from what I see. I don't think there's integration.

so its just for added value to make him worthy of leader class I guess, like Shockwave's shuttlepod/hovercraft thingy

 

The wings on Spinister's tail are unpainted pink in these photos, but painted black on the Takara photos from a week or two back.

I think the true genius in Spinister's transformation isn't just the faux cockpit, but the way his torso and tail transform actually. His pecs and abs become part of the tail.
