Think of it like this. Overide would have potential to get an new mold. Or perhaps she would be retooled from an new Sureshot mold. Or maybe Sureshot would be retooled from that new Overide mold or Vice versa. There might be some good possibility that they might try to make more Unicron trilogy homages.
I myself am open to stuff that isn't explicitly G1 (I liked Beast Wars quite a lot, found TF Prime to be an interesting take on the franchise, and even did enjoy what I saw of TF Animated), I just think people's issues here stem from the fact the fiction for the early 2000s (Armada/Energon/Cybertron) was, collectively, a bit mediocre, with Energon being the worst thing put to animation until the awful web series tie-ins for the Prime Trilogy.
Honestly, if you jump into Armada when the Star Saber minicons are introduced then it's a much better time. It just starts pretty badly.
The Unicron Trilogy is my G1 (armada being the head honcho among the 3) so yeah, its hurts sometimes... but thank Takara for that Armada Prime reveal, haven't heard anything on it since the grey prototype was shown off but i feel that's the start of something glorious.
Much better than the GF Prime imo. No G1 character slapped onto this guy, it's just Hot Shot. Sad he has no knife or backpack turret, but I'm sure there are a dozen options for it. Love it
Yes! Exactly! This is what my initial post was all about. Of course there are fans happy to get these because HasTak has given you guys nothing but scraps through the years, but I knew there would be people who would be rightfully unhappy with this figure, much like they were with GFOP. And they should be! I'm also glad Takara-Tomy is making that Optimus. He looks glorious. I even want to buy him.
