    That would be extremely stupid.
It's now they're searching for bakers that they need to show all features.

Well the barge did introduce a yack face as a bonus after it was already funded as a surprise, so they might add stuff as a bonus. Tho from the TT listing and the video screenshots, My guess is the only extra we get will be a damaged head.

Also I wouldn't say its that stupid. I mean, if your not sold on just Unicron, 1 or 2 little extra's would hardly tip you over to buying it.

I think at the VERY LEAST it could've had an effect part or two, considering it's sold under the Siege branding and all.

They're still missing 6000 bakers. They need to deploy all they have in stock..

I mean, I don't know how the sail barge went (not following SW stuff), but from my crowdfunding experience, the current status doesn't looks good. Bakers haven't increased at all since the announcement wave. We can expect a regain of interest near the end, but never more than the announcement wave. Still 3000 bakers to find in between, and at the current rate (~30 bakers/day on the last 5 days), it doesn't sound good at all.

That's why I say that keeping any feature hidden for after is not a good idea. They're not currently in a situation where they can afford to hide features for the sake of bonus revealed during the production.

The ring wouldn't "flash" lights, it would just turn on. Because it would look like the movie. and you can't get that look without it.

I keep thinking a "squishy" Junkion ship would be awesome, he could squeeze it like a stress ball while recreating that part of the movie :D

telling me to "design better" is like telling me to make you a 5 course meal...it's not what I do. Same if you came to my career and it wasn't your cup of tea, I'd respect that...wouldn't tell you to "do it better" because it's not what you do...barking up the wrong tree chief. Learn to read people's opinion and keep scrollin'....or rolling  ...whichever you prefer.
    carry on...

The Ozformers facebook page posted up a poll of interest on the weekend for the Unicron toy, to show Hasbro Australia and the most likely retailer here (EB Games), what sort of interest there was in Australia.
We got such a huge response from the Australian fans, that Hasbro and EB Games posted up a listing today an exclusive release of Unicron in Australia.
And not only that, they gave us a spectacular price of AU$848 (currently converts to US$575), which only requires a deposit of $100 until the toy is released in 2021. EB Games (and their offshoot Zing) usually offer free pickup in-store, so select your nearest store when ordering online, or drop in to a nearby store (if you have one) and pre-order it in person. At that price and no shipping fee, we are likely to pay less for Unicron than American backers, as our Dollar is expected to get weaker over the next year. And they have to pay the full price at the end of August... we pay all but $100 in about 18 months time when it is released.
    How awesome is that!

NOTE - this is only going ahead IF the American target of 8,000 units is reached (which might now be including non-American orders by the end of August, according to the details in this listing, but that's to be confirmed).

The EB Games Australia listing - The Zing Pop Culture Australia listing

So pre-order before August 31st to lock in your Unicron, and everyone have their fingers crossed that it gets produced. (if it doesn't, your deposit will be refunded)

At that price and payment plan, who else will be ordering two, to display in both modes?
    I know I will be.

A HUGE thankyou to Hasbro Australia and Zing/EB Games for getting this organised in a very short amount of time, and for a great price.

"EB Games in partnership with Hasbro is giving you the opportunity to preorder the Cybertron Unicron figure locally, here in Australia, with all preorders counted towards the crowdfunding 'Backers' target. For this future to become a reality, Hasbro requires 8,000 backers worldwide and every order placed counts to this target! You have until August 31st so get your preorder today!"
Seems like it's worldwide crowdfunding now to me.

OK, so Europe and South America are the only continents that don't have an official or semi-official way to get Unicron. @Nevermore - you practically know more about EU TF situation that Hasbro Europe, do you have some line of contact? I imagine Germany is the largest market in EU for TFs after UK, and UK soon won't be in EU anymore...

I am glad the international community is getting in on this. That was something the Barge did not have during its campaign. Though the 8000 backers for this is a bit ambitious. It should have been 5000 like the barge was. If anyone wants to back this go ahead I am happy with the Amacron figure that came out in 2010.

I’m wondering if this is actually going to make it. It doesn’t look good for this or Cookie Monster. I think Hasbro grossly overestimated what people are willing to spend on nostalgia alone.

As great as TFTM, it’s popularity is fading. The original series isn’t streaming on any of the major services (Netflix, Hulu etc). Not sure the movie is even available on digital. It’s not listed on ITunes in Canada. The primary demographic is starting to age out. A lot of us are in our 40s or 50s. Many of our kids are adults now and are starting post secondary. Basically not a lot of people have or are willing to drop that much coin on a 30 + year old animated movie. Also the repainted Armada mould is a pretty good representation of the character. Maybe I’m totally wrong I just don’t see this making it.

Official way to get it is not an issue. It's a false problem.
In europe we're unfortunately accustomed to have poor distribution and accustomed to deal with online retailers. There's some pretty good ones.
Finding a retailer to get it after the crowdfunding, like the Austrilian one mentionned, is a non-issue, it'll always happen.

The problem is the fact the crowdfunding itself is not open to europe. Finding a local reseller for australia and germany for after the crowdfunding changes nothing to the fact outside US is completely excluded on the project.
