Actually... the fact that the hood forms the arms and the cab forms the legs are pretty much 100% consistent in every transformation.

Its accurate quite a number of times, and on top of that, it fixes the problem of optimus' legs being too short and the face that his back is too large. The legs being the cab also allow more weapon storage in robot mode, such as the ion cannons coming out of his back in dotm, rotf and 2007. And the Voyager rotf already did this, so I think it's possible if the thigh split into two halves, and the front half of the vehicle kinda accordions into the legs, making it compact and reducing the need for diecast. Also also gets rid of the need to double hinge the legs which allows for an extra hip ratchet. And since the torso is located in the middle of the vehicle without any unnecessary hinging of the trailer hitch section, we can finally get an ab crunch. And the trailer hit will have the screen accurate transformation of folding up into the back.

    I've just received mine.

Chest aside, it's the definite movie Optimus Prime figure.

Yes, but it's separate. The default one is battle damaged (half black).

edit: By the way, the red chest parts should really slide in twice as much, and there's more than enough space to do it. It could probably be easily modded.

Overall the chest feels overly engineered for no reason and it doesn't feels sturdy, all that crap is just hanging there, it's not really locked in place. It's the only bad thing about this figure and they had more than enough time to work on it...

To each its own but I'm glad I went with ls03f! Chest and abs are a mess.

Wow, this figure is great. I bet you that someone will make an "upgraded chest" kit. There's sufficient space to do it.

I believe it is a ls03 in your pictures, not a ls03f. Can see the difference with the abs :)

I think that following this topic any longer might be detrimental to your well being.

The entire chest and ab section should be closer to the body. The red abs look to stick out just fine. I mean, just compare how much of it is protruding beyond the windscreen/doors.

Hmm, this still looks promising to me but I think I'll need to wait till more people get theirs in hand and see what the whole chest/ab situation ends up being before committing. Though as it is, I don't really mind how the ab looks right now but I am curious to see how much room there is to play around and position them.
