Was the mock-up of a battle-damaged version confirmed by Weijiang?

Could someone verify it's compatible with the mpp10 trailer?

Yes the head is a bit small to be in scale with the other parts. Been thinking of replacing it with BMB Prime but not sure if it will affect the transformation.

Regarding video reviews, even though this is essentially a Chinese bootleg figure it'd be nice to see other opinions from people whose language I understand.

Like wotafa for example. I wonder if he does knockoffs. Or got fed up with the MPM4 mold since Takara version.

(Sure, on a fit of not wanting to do my job at home and to cook & wash the dishes last night I ordered dinner & went hamfist on the figure once so I got a general impression... But I'd like to see people with more finesse doing their thing.)

Just got mine in. It's spectacular. But there are tradeoffs. There's always tradeoffs.

There's no escaping that BA is significantly more accurate with where the arm/torso parts come from, and Hasbro is significantly more accurate with the shape of the abs/torso.

Something had to give when BA did the hokey pokey and moved everything all around.

In the end, the Hasbro original is an amazing design in the first place, and the little improvements all over the BA version push it out ahead of even that. And the truck mode is just a straight up victory for BA with the chrome and orange gradient.

I love this Optimus, don’t care about the head being small or the abs and can’t wait to receive it. But look forward to new attempts like the Chinese perfect modeling one, where the alt mode is sacrificed a little to get an amazingly accurate and proportionate robot mode

This one here Chinese perfect optimus prime modeling

The robot mode is unbelievable. I’m really looking forward to it, and hopefully a reputable 3P can pick up the design. The engineering is mind blowing

Why do the cab legs matter?

Why does that matter at this point though, it looks near 100% CGI accurate without having cab legs

I know I'm biased, but to be fair, this is just not true. Even the ROTF Leader Prime has more accurate abs than the MPM. It might look better because it's more sunken in, but it's not more accurate.

I think... I think that yes, the abs are in proportion to the windows, but the windows themselves are too far forwards. If Black Apple had moved the waist, arms and head forwards, the screen accuracy would be spot on.

Ngl, I think that primes in general need longer legs, which is why I suggested the cab legs, @LeoJ . Pretty sure this would alleviate the problem of prime's large backpack, as even the mpm has a sizeable backpack. Plus, the clearing up of space in the backpack could allow for the buster cannons to store in robot mode, this would obviously require the matrix chamber to be removed, but I think it's a small price to pay for salvation. IDK how the swords will fold up without looking janky and ******ed, so that's out of the question. A black apple style ab transformation with similar arms and a larger head, would probably work wonders for a new prime figure. But the main difference would be that the abs would bend inwards and follow the curve of the lower torso And by making the folding up of the rear end of the truck unnecessary due to the legs being in the cab, you could use the more solid torso to incorporate an ab crunch. That would honestly be my ideal optimus. The swords could do something like what black apple did, and store in the bottom of the robot. Honestly, optimus has really anime proportions, broad shoulders, long legs and small torso, so by allowing the legs to take up the cab, you can achieve a smaller torso while also having longer legs.

    Torso, too much mass

    Legs, not enough mass

    The madman did it:

Ha ha oh man. Cab legs. I know one time in one scene his legs did something with the sleeper. But literally every transformation scene is completely different, custom made for that one moment, and stuff appears from and disappears into nothing.

They way I see it, his hips are clearly the back wheels and his ankles are clearly the front wheels. Where else could his legs possibly come from aside from the bottom length of the truck to have those visible truck parts (the only visible truck parts) be in those places on his legs.

If any part of his legs looked like any part of the sleeper I could understand this a bit more, but they don't...

Actually, I think u may be on to something. Especially if the cab used a “UT” style of transformation for the legs
