Yeah I get what you are saying and DO appreciate that they are split up and not a box set...however Im looking at all the preorders we have been hit with in the last 30 days and its making me weary. Primarily the preauthorization charges tying up my money now even if only for a few days before it falls off and the actual charge doesnt hit for several months.

Preordered both. Cut off date is 8/27, Unicron 8/31. Yeeeeeah. I don’t see Unicron getting backed by then.

Maybe, maybe not. One thing to note, a lot of other retailers are collecting preorders for Unicron independently as well and will likely submit their "order" to Haslab close to the 31st. Thus, you can expect large chunks to appear in the midnight hour. Whether or not it will inevitably be enough, who knows

Careful not to sound TOO casual about the price hike. Complacency is what allows corporations to keep jacking up prices. As much as I like King Poseidon, I can't help but hope sales suffer enough that TakaraHasbro have to lower future prices.

Except, per usual, the text is generic, Evergreen, while the customers are older fans. In other words, the guy who wrote that text has nothing to do with Pulse, me thinks. It was copied/pasted from some other Hasbro marketing text.
That is both horrible and awesome. :lol  Cause I'd seriously leap out of my skin if anyone made that sound near me...

I’m just shocked by the price. Turtler should be $40 and skalor $25.

These are heavy retools. A bunch of new parts as well. These are worth the price.

In my opinion a retool should be slightly more. If it’s double the price it’s like purchasing a whole new sculpt.

I want to say that Deluxes and Voyagers in the Takara legends line sold for the same, if not more. And those were mostly repaints with minor retools.

These are extensive, though. So much is redone, it's 50% new mold. Yes, the core robots are the same, no denying, but the animal shells are all brand new from the ground up. Plus the hands and feet for Piranacon as well as all of the new accessories and the fact that they can turn into Targetmasters... Extensive.

I would complain that they cost too much; but as you pointed out, there is a lot of work that went into making these the way they are. The price definitely makes it feel worth it with the retooling and added Targetmaster mode.

I am going to hold off for right now and wait until closer to release to preorder them.

If you order through Pulse, they have a cut-off date of 8/27/19 so if you don't order it by then, they won't let you order it (but it'll list it as in stock for some reason). My recommendation is just to pre-order them. They don't come out until January and it gives you a lot of time to consider where or not you want them while still having a claim on them. Plus, you can cancel them later if you decide you don't want them or if money becomes tight.

Why are they available that long? That seems odd.

Anyways, I can dig into my savings if I need to.

I agree, but there’s an easy solution: don’t buy it. That’s what I’m going with myself.
