Haymarket Walmart has G1 Soundwaves finally on the shelf. There are 3 remaining.

 

VCC Target has a Rainmaker set, Bumblebee movie OP, 2 of KSI Boss and a Long Haul.
Ashland Walmart has 6 G1 Soundwaves. In non-Transformers news they also have the new TMNT 35th Anniversary set.

Roanoke Valley View Wal-Mart: reset is done - mostly. Stopped by both yesterday and today, and the new Marvel Legends singles and 2 packs that were put out yesterday are wiped out already. 2 Siege Jetfires yesterday; 1 today. Soundwaves are likely all picked off at this point if they made it to the floor, though I did see 2 sets of cassettes on the shelf yesterday; I picked up one, and the other was gone today.

 

Walmart in Onley VA did the reset and had a bunch of the cassettes. I got one of each, no Soundwave yet though. No really looking for him, I have a few reissues already plus a misb vintage prerub g1.

They also had 2 jetfire 6 feet down from the rest of the transformers for some reason.

 

Fair Lakes Target, what is there of note as of 8:40pm:

A couple of each Battle Class.
1 each of Elite Class Optimus, Megs, BB, and Cheetor
Several of the large Grimlock.
2 One-Step Shockwave and 1 Skybyte.
1 peg of Botbots s3 8-packs and a couple pegs of the s3 singles.
1 Warrior Slipstream.

A couple of Ark Optimus.

 

I’m glad that people are buying Jetfire from Walmart.

With the death of TRU, bigger ticket TF items are at risk of disappearing from brick and mortar stores due to poor sales. It’s nice that their decision to stock Jetfire is being validated.

As much as it might not matter to adult collectors like us (who can just order what we want online), I believe something is lost when an actual kid doesn’t get a chance to see a badass toy in person, sitting on a shelf. That’s a big part of how a younger generation gets interested in a toyline/universe, and keeps it going.

 

I grabbed two sets of cassettes, so there is one ravage pack left and two of the other, also didn't see any jetfires.

This whole 'reset starts the 5th - but can happen practically anytime in any amount of progress' is incredibly frustrating trying to find stuff at walmart. Even walmart's own app is inconsistent with the store state  

Been checking almost daily since last week.. so tired of it

 

I still, in my 30s, have random/occasional dreams where I relive the sense-memory of what it was like to walk into TRU with my parents in the late 80s / early 90s and see the whole TF section reset with new awesome stuff that I had no idea was coming out (because the internet didn't exist, so to a kid the stuff just suddenly... came into existence with no warning). It's weird to actually describe, but it's a VERY specific feeling/emotion, and I guess my brain still has it tucked away in a box somewhere.

 

Since its getting closer to September, anyone think Predaking will be at Ollie's soon?

 

Nice to see the G1 cassettes moving off the shelves. After the high pricing of Optimus and many of them left on shelves at clearance, I got worried maybe Hasbro would cancel this line earlier than planned. If Soundwave and the cassettes sell and Astrotrain does well perhaps they will keep it going. I just hope we get some more obscure characters - I know about molds being lost, blah blah, but if the Chinese KO companies can do it why not Habsro?

 

I totally know what you mean with that feeling. I'll never forget those TRU days when Transformers and GI Joe were so popular they had entire aisles of toys stacked up. My parents were pretty strict with their money so I had to pick one or two figures or maybe a vehicle and it was so hard to decide.  

 

EXACTLY. In the dreams I have, I keep repeatedly lining up a few figures I'm trying to pick 1 or 2 of to actually get, and I keep finding new ones hidden behind others on the pegs/shelf. I start to have that childhood anxiety that there might be some cooler Transformer hidden behind all the others, and I might get one I kind of want and then later find out there was some super badass one I missed because I was in a hurry.

 

I signed up for a Target red card debit linked to my checking account and when my card arrived in the mail they included a coupon for $40 off a purchase of more than $40! It's good in store or online.
I was able to use the debit card to order a Siege Redwing figure, so you don't need the credit card version.
I plan on using the $40 coupon on the Target exclusive Seeker 3 pack when I find it.

 

Skyline Target has 5 Cyberverse Battle Class (no Starscream), 5 Elite Class (including 1 Cheetor), 2 Alpha Trions, 2 Ark Optimus, 2 each of KSI Boss & Long Haul, 2 each of the Micromaster 10-pack & Rainmakers set, and 1 SS-38 Optimus.

Now that I've seen them in person, I feel I was justified in not being super excited about the Rainmakers. I'm not really a giant fan of any of the characters in it, and they all just look like they have glaringly sparse paint jobs to me. Gimme a Purple Seeker multi-pack, Hasbro, the bland color scheme would at least make sense on them.

EDIT: Situation is almost identical at Seven Corners Target, with regard to new stuff -- EXCEPT there are no Micromasters 10-packs or Rainmakers. Or SS-38.
