Here are some pics   It does not appear to be erasable. I can out my hands on it after it dries and it doesn't smudge or come off. It's not the cheapest marker ($7 on Amazon) but we'll worth it for me V)

I just bought what the other guy said he used a few pages back. It's a 2 mm round and it goes on real nice!

Very nice. You did a better job of getting up under the spoiler than I did, I didn't want to get any orange on the underside of it.

Those rear fins really needed that orange. It's a shame that DX9 left it off but at least it's easy enough to put on.

 

btw does this color match the front fins so it can add the color to the missing one?

 

It's a little off. And much harder to get in there. I didn't try nearly as hard as with the fins. Looks better to me though  

I ended up putting a piece of paper under the back piece above the fins so I could get up in there without getting that part dirty  

 

is anybody s else abs hing really loose ?

 

Mine was more loose than I would have liked. He wouldn't tilt forward on his own but it would only take a light tap to double him over.
I'm curious to see if my replacement one is better...If TFSource ever gets around to sending it. Or even communicating with me.

Not since I sent my La Hire back last week. Such a dumb runaround when all they had to do was send one part.

Seeing these pictures has officially pissed me off. So after it being returned to Sender because of the wrong address it is currently back at JFK after coming from China land a second time and has been there for almost a week without any movement just like last time. This thing is in a completely different League posability wise when compared with Challenger or Peru kill. The break dancing pose and the heroic pointing pose literally woke me up as I was just reading wow getting ready to fall asleep. Amazing pictures Luke!

Hated The Last Knight, hated TLK Hot Rod as a character, but I'm seriously thinking about picking La Hire up. Whoever's been designing movie bots for DX9 is a genius. I have Peru Kill and Challenger and I was still amazed at how simple, smooth, and effective La Hire's engineering is.

Yeah, my enjoyment of Hot Rod and pretty much all Baybots is purely aesthetic. While I prefer to have a good story and character behind them, it's not an absolute requirement. The Bay movies are unique in that I can put them on, turn the sound off and enjoy the visuals while I either listen to a podcast or music.  

 

I am sorry about pissing you off, though it is understandable. Hopefully you will have him in hand soon. He is worth the wait. Also, thank you!

Thanks! I think the biggest advice I can give is to take your time with a figure. Other than that I just do what I think might look cool and fine tune it until it looks semi natural or fluid.

Mine arrived yesterday. It is just so much fun to tinker with and pose. I like that you can pose it with the doors up G1 style since the hood for a chest and doors for wings is such a classic look.

First transformation each way took some time. Second time was much easier. The transformation is enjoyable which is what I look for in a Transformer.

 

If I could rip the head off and replace it with a non-movie head, I buy it and replace the head with something else.
