They blew through their stock of G1 stuff last week, Soundwave was gone by Friday, but I did manage to get cassettes on Friday.

 

I hit that WalMart every day last week and saw not one Soundwave, only the cassettes. I did manage to find a single SW this weekend with a slightly beaten up box at another location. I asked for a discount and the cashier took off $10, just in case anyone wants to try.

 

Walmart in round rock has Siege Jetfire if anyone is looking.....also, brickseek shows they have 23 G1 Optimus prime at $25....but they are nowhere to be found in the store

 

I’ve hit most of the South Austin WMs everyday for at least two weeks and no sign of anything new or G1. The 2 Jetfires I signaled about last night weren’t there this morning. Nor anything else new. The reset was complete. I saw a box of deluxes also and they either got all snatched up overnight or they never opened them.

Just in case anyone was thinking about visiting the Walmart on Montfort in Addison, their toy shelves are completely empty for a reset. They have been bare since Monday and the action figure isles were bare starting last Friday. How long does it normally take Walmart to do a reset? Brickseek has shown 6 Soundwaves in stock for 2 weeks there, but I've hit it every day since last Monday and they have had only 2 reissue primes and a couple minibot reissues. No other TF products at all.

 

I know this is a sightings thread. but I need some quick feedback on siege jetfire. my copy doesnt even stand up straight. there's a lot of slack in between the ratchets in his upper legs.. is this a common issue that I should fix myself, or is this a defect? its really bugging me having just spent $80 on a generations figure.

 

I can verify that mine is similar. I found a stance with the legs that allowed him to stand on his own. I don't have a side pic, but this one taken last night shows a front angle. His back pack is also not completely transformed. I had to pull the bottom thruster part out and over the blue window middle piece. It makes the pack shorter.

I see what you mean about the backpack. the figure itself is very back-heavy. since the previous post, I've been messing around with different variations on the leg positioning. if I click the legs forward once, then the weight from backpack settles to the rear. thus appearing more straight.. and I'm gonna get some floor polish up inside that upper leg joint, stiffen it up.

should be able to see the difference based on the first picture.

 

Mine stands pretty straight, but I am noticing the backpack on yours isn't fully transformed. The bottom part of the backpack that has the thruster attached needs to come up and connect flush with the top part of the backpack. It makes it more compact, that could be a contributing factor.

 

aha! I didnt catch that earlier (sorry polymorphic) but thank you.. you're absolutely right, I hadn't noticed that. I did as you said, thruster portion towards the top. it didnt't really make much difference in the stance. but the overall look is much more sleek now. looks way better. I've got his legs clicked forward once, backpack weight settled to the back. looks good. thanks yall...

 

Damn, so is G1 not part of the upcoming Walmart reset? I went to Walmart by Cowboy stadium at lunch, no more G1 minibots/Primes or signs of Soundwave/cassettes. The reset diagrams were taped up and did not see any G1 referenced. I saw one Seige Shockwave, Seige Starscream and a couple of Seige Soundwave (first time seeing Seige SW).

I won't be able to check out WM on Short until tomorrow night on my home back to Dallas. Hopefully G1 SW and his minions are still there!
