Yup, Amazon cancelled my pre-order as well. Seeing as I have a bunch of other series 2, 3, 4, and 5 figures in waiting, all that Amazon managed to list at $5, I'm worried it's all going to collapse like a house of cards.

I don't even know how Amazon is managing to keep some figure listings up for over a couple months at $5, while showing "temporarily out of stock". Like, just how many orders do they want to rack up to cancel?

I will say at least I got 1 figure: beast man. Lol, not like he wasn't a shelf warmer at Walmart before they decided to clear stock and apparently drop Mega entirely like a hot potato.

Maybe that's the big update from Mega: Walmart is out!

Edit: what's even more funny/sad, my closest Walmart rather have half a shelf entirely empty for nearly half a year rather than restock Mega (and other toy lines).

My stratos was cancelled too, but it was the one with the pic of stratos and the title of Donatello. Wisely or not, I was betting on the picture, not description. Given that they didn't cancel Scareglow (yet), I'm assuming that they cancelled all orders for Stratos and Donatello because of the listing confusion. They screwed the pooch on those from the beginning. Losing those sales temporarily is probably cheaper than dealing with lots of returns and angry customers who didn't get the figure they expected... which was probably going to be half of them.

But regardless of the "logic", I do find myself getting sick and tired of amazon listing preorders only to cancel them months later. I don't really trust them to deliver anymore. At this point, I'll only preorder there if it's an AMZ exclusive or if they're the only pre-order game in town. And even then, I'll be looking for a better alternative on each item knowing there is a decent chance AMZ is going to cancel without warning.

That's an awful lot of trouble to go through to produce knock-offs of exact figures.

You can see what the real knockoffs are...

6X Mini Military PUBG Survival Battle Field Building Bricks Figures Weapon Gun | eBay

6pcs Military Special SWAT Police Building Bricks Figures United Nations Forces | eBay

Marvel Mini Action Figure Super Heroes Avengers Building Blocks Iron Man 6PCS | eBay

Though to be fair, some of the knockoffs just look like COD sets repackaged from whoever mega uses to manufacture their product.

Mini Military Blocks Bricks MOH COD Survival Equipment Army Figures Models 6PCS | eBay

Guys over on He-man.org are speculating that too after having their Stratos and Donnie orders cancelled. There was one who did have a Scareglow cancelled so that might be something to worry more about in the future for anyone that has it stilled ordered but not fulfilled. As far as the Stratos/Donnie mix up goes it does make sense, but at the same time why haven't they put up the proper listings for each figure. Which makes me think they oversold by a large margin or it's just Amazon being stupid again because they can.

On an unrelated note Kevin put up previews for the Skyfire Exosuit.

I own all three of those KO sets (and several more), and they're "ok" as long as you don't have super high expectations. The paint apps often leave a little to be desired, and the skintones tend to be more faint or greyish than official releases (like they used less peach plastic in the mix), but if you just need extra figs or parts for customs in new colors, the bodies are perfectly fine.

One word of caution, the hip ball & sockets on the KOs are a slightly different size than the real deal. It doesn't cause any trouble as long as you use the ko t-bar with the ko thighs. Otherwise, everything seems to be compatible.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't see these being that different in quality but you have first hand experience so it's good to know.

I wanted to use those Pubg ko's as halo insurrectionists, but I also wanted to integrate the parts/clothing into halo figures so that might not work given the joint differences.

You're right to be cautious. But this guy is selling older halo figures (like skirmishes and earlier non super Articulated unsc/Covenant) as well as newer ones, so I'm more inclined to believe they're older stock. But I really have no clue.

It IS odd. In my 5 years of collecting, I've never seen dumps of figures and weapons like this.

This blue yellow color scheme is a little unusual/garish going with the sword base Defense.

Not sure if it's just a jewelry store in other places, but around here it's a full on department store akin to Target or Walmart. They do have a jewelry store built in, but it's mainly groceries.

They can have whatever discussions they want if they don't pay for shelf space they won't get it.

I didn't see a place for any of those He-Man origins Matty said were going to be on the shelf either.

I'd get some of those British and pirates if I hadn't blown money on clearance

I like that one. I will own 20 or none depending on how the fortune lands. Probably none though I'll have an indefinite preorder at either Amazon or EE.com

I've picked up some of the KO sets too and have noticed the same thing with the paints and the ball-and-socket joints. Do you have the UN set? I haven't picked that one up but like the look of the blue for some customs so was wondering if it's fairly accurate.

So much for destroying the prototype.
Now the Banished have their own. Nice going, UNSC.

No, I can't comment on the UN blue. The SWAT team is very "cobra blue" for those that are into such things, but I haven't thought of a use for the UN guys yet.

Thanks. I'm wanting to do some UN figures and also Slaughter's Marauders and the blue gear would be great for a start on them. I actually am into GI Joe. That's what got me started on Mega Construx. I wanted some Joes to use with my MP TFs and the CoD figures were a great base. I couldn't tell you a thing about Halo or CoD but I've gotten tons of those figures to convert into various GI Joe characters. I'm kicking myself I didn't get into Mega sooner so I could have snagged some of the WoW stuff -- not to use as WoW but as filler for my MOTU-verse.

I'm glad someone else sees the potential of Joe's in the CoD line, considering their articulation and weapon/accessory customization.

Now that Mattel owns them, we'll never see a Joe Mega line, but man that would've been awesome.
