This game is called Final Fantasy VII Remake. No sub-title...either Part 1, Chapter 1, Episode 1, or some wording after.

Fast forward, how will the the next one be called? Final Fantasy VII Remake 2...

EC : something creative for the remake. Endless City?
FC : remake part 2.

So am I the only one that thinks the models in this game look really.... weird?

 

Final Fantasy characters in HD 3D models have been in the uncanny valley for a while now. They're on the verge of going past that, but something will always throw us off. Hell, with the Spirits Within movie Square claimed the movie to be photoreal, but if you actually saw the movie, you definitely say it isn't.

Outside of 4chan or ResetEra, I didn't see people caring about Tifa's boobs, except for mocking the fact that the decision was made by an ethics committee.

They look like CGI cartoons. I don't think that they were going for realism.

 

It would be pretty dang cool if 343 ever remastered odst. That game with the graphics of halo 5 or infinite would be awesome. Although there's something I really like about the dated graphics of the original

I hope it is.. but considering the guy who got put in charge of the PS division is literally the guy who goes "Why would people want to play retro games?" I won't count on it till it's released.

 

Not sure if it's been 100% confirmed yet, but people have been saying that that's Mark Hamill voicing Don Corneo. It does sound quite a bit like him (the sound-alikes have been upping their craft as of late, though. Troy Baker just keeps getting better at it).

Seeing lots more evidence of the restructuring of the plot and additional gameplay elements in this new footage. Ifrit and Shiva making their appearance, for one, despite you not obtaining any Summon Materia until after you've left Midgar in the original game. Tifa is an active participant in the Wall Market shenanigans this time around, instead of needing to be "rescued". Expanded bombing missions as you engage in motorcycle escapes (complete with new opposition from SOLDIER elites) and a paratrooper assault. AVALANCHE's scope seems to be greater this time around, as there appears to be fighters aside from Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie. Some possible hints at expanded story scope for Yuffie, as Heideggar drops some new info about opposition Shinra Inc. is facing from Wutai.

Yeah, that's not happening. The reason VII is getting this treatment is that it's overwhelmingly the most popular entry in the franchise, and is probably one of the most "culturally important" things that Squaresoft/Square Enix has ever done. FFVIII is nowhere near as important in the annals of gaming history, and is a far more divisive game among even the Final Fantasy fandom. Plus it just got its Remastered edition.
