Eh, I vastly preferred the G2 toy deco to the ridiculous comic version. Never fit G1 Sideswipes personality either though I always hated the comics as a kid. MFT definitely wins though on headsculpt alone, the MS one is terrible....

Got my MFT Detective yesterday, and I've been having a ball with him. His accessories are great... well... the sniper rifle doesn't really feel like it was made for him, but I bet it will look great with another figure. I always wanted a Hound when I was a kid, and this one looks so much like the cartoon version!

hzj came through again! I also ordered a set of the new teensy tiny faction decals, and they are outstanding. You have to cut them out, but they are great for things like Hound's chest emblem, and MFT Gear's tummy emblem! I see a lot of upgrades for my 3P figures with tiny areas for faction emblems!!!

I ordered those little emblems from hzj as well and they look great on my MFT Huffer, Gears and Hound. The tiny belly emblem for Gears was a perfect fit as was the fender emblem for Hound. Really digging the nice white border and the clean overall look. I used some silver backed emblems on some of my other bots and cons and have debated switching some out for these. Still can't decide which emblems and what size to use on my MFT Seeker wings.....

On the contrary - it’s bloody hot in there at the mo as it’s the conservatory so sun beating down on it most of the day..;)

Although I am quite tempted to swap him out for MFT UM 2.0 as he does look rather short in comparison...

I think the Matrix Chamber on the MFT UM 2.0 must have thicker padding to avoid that kind of embarrassment ;)

The conservatory you say? I recall an unfortunate incident occurring there once involving Colonel Mustard and a wrench... :D

Awesome collection sir! If I may ask, who is your Prime and are those Dinobots the DX9 or MFT versions?

Cool, thanks. I have the MFT Dinos myself (minus Slag & Sludge) and I have the HS Prime and knew the one pictured was different. I do not have a good representation of Skyfire in my legends collection though. :(  I have the Hasbro Classics version but I'm just not happy with his looks. I like the look of IF Cygnus in this pic but I feel like he should be taller than Prime and Grimlock but shorter than Devastator or Omega Supreme. I guess my ideal Skyfire just isn't out there yet...

    Cheers bud.

The dinobots are the MFT versions and prime is from the generation toy two pack. You can get a ko of him in model kit form now pretty affordably if you’re after one.

I would have thought MFT will KO Cygnus before long or make their own. Cygnus is beautiful though even if he is a little small.

hate to burst your bubble but:

when I asked @ifif1229 (an MFT liaison / has close ties with MFT) in another forum if MFT will consider making an OS KO of Cygnus. here's what he had to say:

"They r planning and changing their co in third party, Ko will be lesser, and if stuff r idw, they r not interested in producing non g1 toys"

    and:

"i think they will consider tf+ lost planet for 40 % , 20% OF original design, 30% for other licensed products, 10 % for some figure"

my bubble was blasted way off when he mentioned that MFT is not interested in producing non G1 toys (maybe now, because they have KO'd IDW bots in the past).

I love how all of his accessories (besides the sniper rifle) store on him in robot mode!

from the chunky / big boys manufacturers - MFT. in bot mode, he feels very right at home with my various carbots. will see later how he scales in alt mode.

this guy gives me the same positive vibe i got from MS Trailbreaker, and how I wish MFT can stay in this same path - more originals, lesser KOs.

i've been warned though that the peg on the windshield can easily be broken. i have an acquaintance whose Hound had that peg broken.
