I think that’s far more an issue with Predaking’s size than Sky Lynx. A big titan class Sky Lynx is just not in the cards. He’s a horizontal character which would take up immense space, with not a huge fan following.

Commander class is virtually made for the guy, and has that nice medium. He’s big in the cartoon, but he’s not HUGE like when you think of Plex or Trypticon. Even the combiners kind of get away with it due to being imposing vertical characters that seemingly grow.

This 100%. The notion that Hasbro is sticking to the “scale chart” or any definitive scale in this line or the next is absurd. Sure, some more bulky characters get bulkier figures (Ironhide) than smaller characters in the same size (Reflector), but some people seem to think there is some be all end all scale that Hasbro is following to the letter, and they just aren’t.

Same thing kind of goes for ruling out characters for toys based on them “not appearing before the Ark leaves Cybertron,” in WFC so far. There’s a little bit of a loose theme with Cybertronian ‘84 guys, sure, but it’s just another CHUG line at the end of the day, and Hasbro won’t stay within “the rules” because there are no rules. Any character, same as in Prime Wars, is up for grabs.

Hasbro will make a character in whatever class, size or price point they feel is right. Masterpiece is really the only line you could point to for detailed scale, but it’s not perfect itself and is not a mainline retail toy.

I see. Still, I do wonder if he might end up falling between price points...? That or two commanders sold at a Titan price point.

After seeing the images of Commander Jetfire and Starsaber side-by-side, I'm now convinced a retool is coming.

    From Masterforce I think I'd like a new Double-dealer.

You realize I'm not insisting, right? I even pointed out what you did: That John Warden claimed that Sky Lynx could fit either size class, and that Flywheels is Megatron's height in the Japanese Sunbow continuity. I'm not trying to tell people they're wrong, I'm just trying to encourage people to consider what Hasbro actually says on the matter, that's all.

And your input is valuable too, no need to think that you're "giving a lecture". If I approached this topic wrong, I apologize. But I do think it needs to be addressed, as the dynamic of what we're getting in Generations is changing, while the zeitgeist of speculation isn't changing to adapt with it. Except for Studio Series discussions, strangely, but that's a different topic altogether.

My own issue with Sky Lynx being a Titan instead of a Commander is he just doesn’t seem to ‘do’ enough to warrant being a Titan except being big. All the other Titans either have base modes with extra smaller figures, or are 6 figures in one set that combine together & transform to different things.

I just don’t see what extra Sky Lynx adds other than his supposed size? Ok he splits into two animals that merge into one big one, but when they’re split up you can’t use the Lynx mode as anything other than a box.

We’ve seen with Jetfire that you can have Titan Masters ride inside & him carry extra figures at Commander class, but Sky Lynx doesn’t have a base mode & other than electronics, what else can you do? Put slightly bigger figures inside of him?

If we got 5-6 Titans a year I’d be fine with it, & I don’t hate the idea, I just feel others are far more deserving. If we get Sky Lynx next year for example, we won’t get a Scorponok, & when we have the rest of the ‘87 ‘Master figures FINALLY coming out it feels crazy to then skip Scorponok.

Then the year after I feel a new Metroplex is more warranted, or maybe Tidal Wave, who has more play features than Sky Lynx does. And he was never on that scale chart that keeps bouncing around on here anyway, that’s all unofficial & out of scale in parts already (as has already been mentioned)

Must get Scorponok as the next Titan. Because I want a Black Zarak before I die.

Sky Lynx has pretty straightforward transformation - it would not be hard to add a "carrier" feature that allows him to carry a number of Micro- or Battlemasters, docking to Omega Supreme, etc. Not saying they would or should do this, but just that they could find a way to give him a little more bang for his buck.

I just don't see Hasbro following up a big white jet former with ANOTHER big white jet former, Sky Lynx OR Star Saber. And after handling Commander Jetfire in person, it's incredibly light-weighted for its size. I really wouldn't want Sky Lynx nor Star Saber to be subjected to that same standard because corners would be cut.

What does that leave? I dunno...but I don't see it being either of the above right now. Actually, Deathsaurus could use a better reintroduction right about here...

Do we know there will even be another "Commander Class" release after this? It almost seems like a one-off to me.

Maybe Hasbro just felt like releasing a Jetfire?

Deathsaurus could certainly use with a new figure.

How about Galaxy Shuttle? Too obscure for a $79.99 figure?

I hope not, I'd love more Victory characters. Plus he could be retooled into Armada Jetfire.

Either one way or the other can. I can see the idea of a larger train than most deluxes, and yet Astrotrain is also Voyager. But my problem is... the extra parts it needs to form Raiden.

Leader Classes? I remember Super Ginrai and God Bomber being Leaders.

I mean Star Saber can work with the Leader shell and Deluxe core unlike a Voyager core. Maybe add a Micromaster or rather a Brainmaster to complete the experience. Victory Leo in the other hand will be a stand-alone Leader with Weaponizer technology, and will work best with Star Saber to make Victory Saber.

Ah, Deathsaurus. A commander class version of him with a Micromaster patrol made especially for him. I kinda think the Laserbeak and Ravage set can be retooled for Deathsaurus' Brest Animals.
