I've given almost every Transformers line a chance, but I've never touched Rescue Bots, Bot Shots, Robots in Disguise (2015), or BotBots.

 

No Bay shit. Let that stuff warm the shelves, lol.

My kids and I don't have Cyberverse, Armada, Beast Machines, Bot Bots or Alternators. We mostly collect MP and CHUGs.

 

I quit collecting anything that isn't CHUG.

 

The only thing I would not consider collecting is unlicensed, third-party stuff. I'm not a complete line collector or anything though. Each piece I choose has some specific meaning or purpose.

 

Really, I think Cyberverse, Rescue Bots, and the card game are the only things I've skipped entirely. Rescue Bots mainly because I keep forgetting they're a thing, Cyberverse because nothing really called to me, and the TCG because I was unable to secure the SDCC pack at a good price and since I am complete collector, there was no point after that (even though I can buy that pack right now, I just don't want to). I collected pretty much everything else. Some lines I pick and choose (more like I buy 80% of the line and not all of them) but for the most part I try to get everything. I even recently completed my Animated collection (though I lack voyager Thundercracker and refuse to be the idiot that paid more than $300 for that thing). Even bought the whole Siege line so far even though I think some of them are duds. Really it's just neat to have a whole collection, and it's really nice when we get something unique in terms of aesthetic design like Animated or the Unicron Trilogy. Really miss that aspect of those toys.

 

Masterpiece....I own 3 total. MP1, MP5, and Barricade.
Cyberverse...own nothing
I guess the only thing I consistently collect now is Studio Series and generations and I am not a completionist.

 

Third Party. Too expensive, and I'd much rather support official Transformers.

3A and other statue type figures. I just like my Transformers to be able to transform.

Also for price reasons, I don't have much of the Masterpiece line. I'm happy with G2 Bumblebee, both MPM Bumblebees that exist, and either getting MP-45 or the Hasbro release of the standard MP-21.

 

Well the lines i don't collect but dribble drabble in buying some when i can and can afford are below. Now the Masterpiece line of Takara or Hasbro released i like to. Some 3rd Party figures also i really like to dabble in when i have enough cash and budget for it. So this list is kinda a half and half of YES and NO line of figures i buy and others i don't.

sure I'll get a lot of flak for this but I REALLY don't like the Siege line.

It just seems like yet another regurgitation of the 80s aesthetics, slathered in awful paintjobs passed off as "battle-damage."

At the moment I have Skyfire & Galaxy Optimus and I really don't want anything more the line has to offer.

Basically anything that's aimed squarely at small tykes or people that can't be bothered to be challenged by the puzzle aspect. The only exception I'm currently allowing is BotBots. Too cute.

 

I just started collecting last year as the last wave of POTP was hitting, so anything before that in the Generations line I'm probably not gonna complete but do collect if I like the figure.
But to be more specific with the topic I will say the kids lines I will not buy (BotBots, Cyberverse, etc). I'm also not an MP collector (unless it fits with CHUG scale, like Hoodlum who can double as a voyager Rodimus)

 

I have at least some of each lines, but some lines are definitly not my priorities.



On the top list of lines I don't care about are movies and masterpieces. I barely read news about these.
Both share the same problems : unfun transformations, with lot of fake parts in order to reproduce on screen impossible transformations.

I'm also forced to pass on botbots. Distribution is terrible in france on these, and while I'm ok to get most of my generations etc on line, I'm still not psychologically ready to pay more on shipping than the actual figure for these.

I also completely pass on 3P, but I'm not sure if it's in the scope of the question..

 

G1 Masterpiece. Especially with the garbage screen accurate direction they've decided to go with.

Cyberverse. Not interested all that much.

All the licensed 3rd party products. Hasbro might as well bring back Action Masters.

 

Since Armada....

- Half of Cybertron (this is where I fell off initially)
- Masterpiece (I've bought a few here and there, but not collecting this line by any means. Do collect MPMs, though)
- Animated (I was squarely focused on Movieverse lines at this point)
- RID (Was an avid Prime collector, but couldn't justify going in on this line)
- Cyberverse (Not my cup of tea)
- WFC (I have gotten just a few of these who didn't have a great CHUG style figure before this, like Shockwave, but largely want to let my Generations G1 collection be as is)

 

I have absolutely no intention of going back and picking anything up pre T30, because I feel like the John Warden era really provides interesting figure designs. However, I may be willing to make an exception for a special ops Jazz when I find one at a reasonable price.

 

Only Collect Siege for now, and any bots like
