I knew both Mixmaster and Scrapper were going to be voyagers. I'm asking along with Mixmaster, who would be released along side him in the voyager class. Would it be both him and Scrapper, or someone else?

 

It depends on how the Numbering plays out right now I think 48 is Mixmaster and its the only voyager slot.

I'd guess Both Mixmaster and Scrapper could be released together along side scavenger since they all say early 2020 on other instructions.

 

Haha, rediscovering an older figure. Hope the new one will have those ankle tilts  

 

Finally some reveals!


*Bumblebee

Aw yeah it's the TF1 version! Looks really great, thought it was a whole new mold at first. But then I notice he only has the Battle Mask, and it's not swappable....So I have to get the 70's Camaro I didn't want for the unmasked head. WELL PLAYED, HASBRO.

*Soundwave

Also looking pretty good. Much better proportions than the previous attempts. I wish he had the pistols, but maybe DNA designs can handle that later. Seeing Laserbeak makes me glad that I learned to paint my figures.

*Bike Sisters
I am impressed that they all have their own unique mold! I didn't expect that. I'm still not a fan of those robot modes, but I think I'll get these for the novelty of it. They add some nice colors to the Autobot group.

*WW2 Hot Rod

I guess this was the inevitable choice to retool the Bumblebee figure into. It's fine for what it is, but I'm passing.

 

Not sure how accurate this is. With reference to Elita-1 barely reaching Hot Rod’s lower ribs in this picture (I think) her height when stretched seems to be approximately 10cm tall.

Every Bumblebee except SS-18 is 12.5 cm tall, so under this size chart (1 bar = 2.5cm) we can see that how I came to this approximation.

*note that Elita’s scale in this picture is wrong. Her size here is supposed to represent her when stretched. I just kept her identical to her render for simplicity and time, since I don’t know how to photoshop her waist stretched.

Now let’s assume all three Arcees are the same height.

With reference to Chromia (the only one in the picture with her waist correctly transformed), my observation suggests she only reaches Hot Rod’s lower waist.

Now let’s see how Chromia would size up when measured to WWII Bumblebee if this is true. Once again simplified for time and sanity, let’s pretend her waist is actually collapsed here:

Assuming this measurement is true, this would mean the Arcees are 7.5cm tall.
Putting them at the same size as most Legion/Legends class figures, but with greater mass, better paint, sculpt, engineering, and articulation similar to the Ice Cream Twins in ROTF from a decade ago.

At this point I expect (and hope) Shockwave to be a leader.

He and Mackatron are almost equal in height, with Shockwave being just a smidgen taller, and he also has the massive arm gun to boot. You would need a lot of plastic to pull off his size and bulk.

Spoiler: Transformation reveals

After looking at bumblebee again I'm 95% sure the legs rotate 180° twice. First at the knees then at the waist. The rest remains similar to old bee.

As for Soundwave, my analysis of the pictures conclude with 100% certainty, that the chest is not fake! Holy cow! This is so amazing  

The two parts with the headlights will be pulled out somehow and then rotated 180°. You can see where the headlights end up in robot mode if you look closely. Then you'll see what I see.

The toes just fold up on the shins and rear light section rotates 180°. Link the legs and you're done with the legs. Very simplistic but it looks good

I read people complain about the doors on Soundwaves arms and tail lights on legs and I have this to say to you:

Why? I don't want to be rude but what you wish for is 1,737,282,929$ magic!
First you don't like kibble hanging off the back. Now we see car parts neatly INTEGRATED into the robot modes limbs and you're still not fond?

In my honest opinion with you guys, I feel like maybe You'd be happier buying those 3A action figures and some representation of the cars and display them next to eachother?

And in the end you buy Soundwave and are super happy with him ^^

Barricade should be complained about more haha! Somehow someone forgot to give him thigh swivels thus preventing me from buying the figure

 

Put in a pre-order for Soundwave and the Triplets

Delighted that Hasbro (for now) went with the DOTM Mercedes design for Soundwave over the ROTF satellite, definitely my favourite of the toy. My only real criticism of the figure is that I wish Laserbeak was molded in a darker grey plastic than Soundwave himself, to make him a bit more accurate to his on-screen appearance. But that could be easily remedied if I really wanted to

The Arcee sisters look great. The deluxe-sized three pack was definitely the way to go

I was kind of tempted by WWII Hot Rod. I passed on WWII Bumblebee, and think the mold looks a lot better in Hot Rod's colours, but I'm still not completely convinced

 

Did anyone notice Hot Rod shooting Elita-1?

He's discharging them from duty!

 

After a very strange year personally\work wise, finally getting back into collecting. Oversized grimlock turned up yesterday, my two dropkicks from idtoys should be here in a day or two, preordered the sisters and Soundwave yesterday, + got scrapmetal, Hightower and rampage en route from various sources. Just need to find a long haul for a reasonable price and I'm up to date with everything I want. That oversized blackout may be next...

 

Made a collage of the sisters and I'm honestly looking forward to getting them in hand and painting them up! I really hope Someone can give us reprolabels for the cybertronian tattoos that they’re missing but yeah I can’t wait, they’ll fill a big hole in my autobot collection, now I just need a small wheelie and brains  

 

Yeah that makes me notice why arcee looks the best. It's because both others are based on her. They all have the arcee torso and spine. The heads were always the same though

Why is Elita-1 misstransformed in her CAD render?  
Bit awkward. The spike on her foot wheel looks like it can fold out to the side like in the cgi. What attention to detail, wow. So the only "cheap" thing about them is the reuse of arcee's body

 

Thanks for offering but I think I'm going to wait it out and see if I can find a clunker Bee. My thinking is I'll just keep '70s Bee in vehicle mode so I'd want that to be as accurate as possible.  

 

Watched bumblebee for the 1st time was good now got a urge to buy a car dropkick

 

If all you need is the head (and you live in the U.S., can't afford international shipping sadly), I've got a junker SS-01 with a broken off roof assembly I can send you.

 

It’s just that the WWII Bumblebee mold, while unique, is quite the shell-former, even for a movie toy. And inaccurate, making it stand out from the film-accurate SS line. I know for obvious reasons they can’t make them Nazi cars like they were in the film, but wasn’t their concept art of Hot Rod as a tank?

It almost looks like the gun will slide over the hand, rather than being a swappable piece.

 

Honestly, they probably could. If I remember correctly, bee was just a staff car, and a Mercedes at that. As long as they don't puany any swastikas on there, it would probably fly. If they did do it, it would be kind of neat to make goerings blue goose outta him.
