I’m wondering if this will be like titans return, where the line will be shown at NYCC, but won’t be released till next summer. Which I really hope isn’t the case and that hopefully the first was will be out by January.

Think we'll get another Sentinel Prime out of Astrotrain? Would have preferred a heavy Galaxy Prime retool for his truck body but if they want to keep him going as an astrotrain retool I could go in for that.

If they do him as a new type of Deluxe Weaponizer with a core Legend figure with extra C.O.M.B.A.T. gear that'd be awesome!

I think a small Deluxe would be solo much better. Looks at the legends figures on my shelf.

 

Hm. You know, I really dig Skytread (Flywheels) but next to the main big four Decepticons, he just feels out of place. Much as I love him, I think he would've worked better as a voyager figure. I hate to ask this, but is there an oversized KO version of him floating around anywhere?

 

Now that new studio series was revealed today, I am now guessing part 2 may be at fan expo Canada.

 

With Ultra Magnus and Springer out, I'm really hoping to see a new Hotrod, Kup, Blurr, and Arcee as well.

 

I’m all for the G1 Japanese and European Transformers being introduced at some point in this trilogy. Since I got back into collecting heavily when the Classics line started I’ve been seeing and reading more about characters like Star Saber, Overlord, Thunderclash, etc. We got Overlord with TR along with Sky Shadow. Why not a Blue Bacchus? I think it would be fascinating to get these characters updated in the main line and introduced to a new generation of fans as well as the previous generation that never experienced them. This would also open up the possibility of bringing back some of the cooler gimmicks from the 90s’ which included some G2 characters that were released in the U.S. I think it’d be cool to see all the Turbo Masters, the Laser Rods, hell even the Rotor Force. As much as I love what they’re doing with the Siege line so far, the foreign release Transformers would be an even bigger breath of fresh air for this franchise. I’d love to learn more about that side of Transformers and would even welcome all new characters (hello, Rung). There was a lot from G2 and the foreign series that really looked fun. At the level Hasbro is making these figures now, I think it’s time to put those characters back in the spotlight.

Side note: I’d also love a dubbed release of all the Japanese cartoons.

 

Possibly. It could replace the Studio Series line when it ends.

 

I honestly don't see Studio Series ending. Looks like a catch-all Generations series for movieformers, and as long as Transformers movies are made, it can stay alive.

 

I'm really really hoping for a good Arcee. I don't want to spend more than I can afford for Ocular Max Azalea...but I will if I have to.

 

I hope we'll get to the Turbomasters, Rotor Force, Aquaspeeders etc eventually.
So many fun designs and flashy colors.

 

I bet they don’t pay licensing if Ghost Starscream isn’t released as a crossover.

Personally, I’d prefer they NOT go clear.

Semi-opaque (maybe glow in the dark), bright pastels works for me.

Similar to Omega Supreme’s claw or Marvel Legends Human Torch at Walgreens.

A cloudy semi-opaque plastic looks ghostly, particularly if you go bright with the colors.

Wipeout’s COMBAT gear should be radar dishes for Trypticon.

 

Add in the twin rockets and silver/grey base mode laser cannon and you have yourself a Deal, Mister!

 

The Combot included option makes me think of a seige guzzle
