Oh god, it's going to be a right scrum for Siege toys on Saturday morning, isn't it? I'd hoped at one stage that I might be able to snatch the wave 2 battle masters, but I'm not sure I even want to if it's going to involve elbowing other people aside.

Incidentally, I'm not sure I understand the schedule for Saturday morning. According to the site, the opening ceremony is at 9am, the doors open to weekenders at 10am, and everyone else at 10:30. So who is in for the opening ceremony?

Usually the doors open at 9 or 9:30 for weekend, half an hour later for general and opening ceremony at 10 or 10:30. I think they just made an error on the website.

If my friend can't grab a brunt or springer at tfn for me, I'm just gonna throw my hands up an get them from amazon. Is it playing into their hands? Yes. But if the merchandise isn't being made available, what can we do? That, or miss it entirely.

I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps today and can't quite put my finger on why. Switching over from ESA to income from my partner's new job is proving to be a bit of a bugger, so I can't even engage in the ol' TF retail therapy. Especially galling, since I can hear the discount Shockwave's at my local Smyth's calling out to me! :(

I'm gonna knock back some pain meds, crank up the TF 1986 movie soundtrack and see if I can get some housework done before my back gives out.

I did not know that. I might wait then, though I suspect they’ll be long gone by the time I get through the doors.

Halifax car insurance can piss right off - been with them for a year at £190, they want £336 to renew - I've made no claims or changes. I guess they don't want loyal customers...

Yeah, this is what I'd assumed. I need to start planning what time I'll want to get there, to be honest. I rarely drive further than a work commute, and while Birmingham's hardly a great distance, I'm so unused to driving unfamiliar routes I reckon I'll need a bit of forethought.

Hope the Housework Achievement helps alleviate it some, @Skjalddis!

BTW Anyone who's sticking with stock Refraktor over the box set might want to swing by the Matrix Workshop...

@Seeaich It did! Also decided to get the Autobots out for a group shot. This is everything I have, other than repeats of the same character (because in this house, you can't have too many Grimlocks, Bees, Rods or Magnususeses!)

Autobots assemble! Wait, that's not right...

Nope. I've had to fight hard enough for the ESA, there's no way I'd get PIP. It's all good long-term though, we're gonna be much better off even on my other half's income, and my health has improved considerably in the past month or two because I haven't been constantly stressed out by fighting with the DWP. This means that I've been able to start writing again and I'm putting feelers out for freelance work. Funny how the biggest barrier to me supporting myself again has been the DWP, isn't it?

Solidarity. Reassessment this week for me. Definately helped me get back into the fandom when Roberts made his ultimate villains people who categorise function, lol.

    SHAMELESS SHILLING

Righty, a while ago I made (KOed) a poster which looks really swish, and said that I would make it available at TFN. I also made a few of 3D posters which, whcn you see them, are absolutely amazballs.

Anyway, with TFN only 2 weeks away, I better get on taking monies and orders and printing them out yes? So, if you made an order expect a message from me soon chasing up monies! The things are...

A4 Cutout and build your own Hubcrap (repaint of the 2019 Calendar Shitbot). Will ONLY be available at TFN 2019! £2.

Good luck with the reassessment. Roberts' satire is scathing, but it seems to fly over a lot of people's heads. Especially when it's very UK-centric, like the whole Ofsted-VII bit.
