No, I think just Overheat. I know earlier test shots showed him with two guns, so maybe it's a holdover from a time when they were considering giving him two.

Basically you fold up the gun by pushing the barrel in and folding the handle backward, then it fits into the gap between his thighs with the barrel pointed away from his crotch. If you look you'll even see a little notch for the back of the gun to sit in.

 

Hi just wondering where you guys mainly buy your stunticons, or other figures usually? I got Crackup from Coldplay-2011 on ebay and i got around to opening him a while ago he's a really cool figure but I found out he doesn't have pegs on his chest to secure the chest panel unfortunately. I'm guessing factory defect, since I've seen reviewers have the pegs there, and it came like that so no damage to them. Really weird part is they have some sort of thing indicating the pegs used to be there. Also while transforming the friction of his spoiler broke the peg at the back after I had accidentally dropped it, but not too hard and just on carpet. I contacted x-transbots support [email protected] and I got a reply from [email protected]. The conversation has been going well but some pics are below. Sorry if this is the wrong thread and I should put this in the crackup thread. I inserted the images as small so they don't take up too much thread room. Guess I have bad luck  



Some pics I sent to support. they said this part is not replaceable and I think so too, not sure if there are trade-in's or how they work. as for the spoiler it was probably my fault, but the chest pegs, maybe they have to be slided out?

 

How do I make Crackup roll? His torso/chest region rubs the ground

I don't think you do. I've just assumed Wildrider and Breakdown were never meant to actually roll freely. One of the reasons I prefer the DX9 set over these guys; ground clearance.

 

My crack-up has enough clearance to roll? Flip out is my clearance issue figure none of the fixes on the forum have helped, only get him to roll of the two panels right behind the doors aren't tabbed in.

 

He has very minimal ground clearance, but you also have to have everything transformed perfectly. If I recall correctly, you have to make sure his hip joints are perfectly aligned because if they are turned outward or inward ever so slightly, you can still finish transformation to car mode but it knocks everything off by a millimeter and makes his bottom drag.

 

Hello   Do not worry about the non-chestpeg issue. I bought the G2 version of Crackup and it did not have those pegs either. I believe XTB purposely left them off on every version after the first batch as a quality-of-transformation thing. As in, perhaps it is easier to flip that panel back and forth during the transformation process. I do find it fine the way it is and have no physical/tangible issues with my bot.

 

So the problem has been actually figured out, I got an older one that was in production I was told by the support, but it got cancelled, so maybe this copy I have didn't have the pegs on the chest piece, so that's why it was cancelled. Ah I see, well I can just buy a new one I guess. Can't wait to pick up Deathwish, and Overheat though! Very cool figures. I already have Wildrider but I gotta find him

 

Oh wow, I was really worried, got a response from support that it was an older version that got cancelled because of the chest peg thing, I was honeslty scared thank you so much haha i hope you are enjoying your figures and have a great weekend!

 

Toydojo, first because they have incredible customer service, and well two of the G2 Stunticons are exclusive to them. But I hit all the big NA retailers, The Chosen Prime because they and Toydojo usually get things first in the US, so I hit them on the rare occasions where they get something early and Toydojo doesn't have it. TFSource next because they do sometimes manage to get things before everyone else and since I think they're a bigger operation than the former two, they usually still have stock later into a release (and the earlier buyers went to the first two). BBTS if the first three don't have what I have as again, since they get things so much later than everyone else, they'll still have stock after the others dry up.

Then showzstore if I can't find something at a NA retailer, followed by johosontony on ebay (formerly uncle billy), and robotoybase for things that I just can't find anywhere else and that I'm willing to pay the crazy shipping fees for.

 

Toydojo +100 for the sales also.

 

The Chosen Prime is becoming my go-to. Rarely TFSource for an exclusive.

 

Crackup and Flipout don't have the needed ground clearance unfortunately. Someone posted a fix for Flipout in this thread along with a video demonstrating the improvement after the mod. I don't think such a mod exists for Crackup unfortunately.

 

The chest pegs are missing on my copy as well. The good news is the tolerance of the piece keeps it in place regardless. My seller was from eBay, Suncn2010. Like you said, probably just a defect.

 

Is Robotoybase reliable? I'm considering them for something but never bought from there. But yeah, crazy shipping fees.

 

They are not in the United States.

 

Understood, but then neither is TF Direct, and they offer better shipping costs, IMO. Either way, given the item I'm looking at it may still be the cheaper option, I just want to know if they are reliable.
