Was trying to figure out what didn't quite look right about it... thought maybe it was the paint, lighting or posing. Then those side-by-sides made it clear: UT's just looks lanky to me, mostly due to the very long torso and high shoulders, though the narrower limbs and waist aren't helping. It's more "guy in armour" than "hulking mass of evil robot" - more 1987 Shredder than TLK Megatron (especially from the back).

Fortunately I'm also a TMNT fan, so I'm still extremely interested.

This is outstanding. To go from such an organic shape of the body to the rigid/hard lines of the space ship is quite remarkable.

    Instant\'s purchase for sure.

Man, I don't even care for this general design, but there is absolutely no denying the engineering genius it took to pull this off. Hats off to them, they really knocked it outta the park.

Are Bayverse designs the only thing Uniquetoys is doing now?

Man oh man, I cannot wait to see what black magic UT used to pull off the transformation for this guy. The entire jet seems to disappear into the robot. Cockpit, fuselage, wings... GONE.

The proportions and sculpt in both modes look excellent to me; surely the best possible transforming version of this design. (He does not look like he should be able to transform.)

Of course, being the snob I am, I have some nitpicks:

It might just be the lighting in the photos, but the colours don't look right to me. His shade of silver/grey looks too warm, when he should be a much colder hue, especially as seen in those comparison photos. And I'd love some more detail/weathering in the paint work. Maybe this is a case where we need a ToyWorld paint job on a UT figure?

And I hope his unmasked face has an opening mouth or an alternate sculpt or something, because he needs teeth! The expression in the concept art (and on the Hasbro figures) looks much more menacing than the calm face seen here. His eyes could use some GLARING RED as well. (Also I wish his canopy was transparent even if it's not movie-accurate.)

But these are incredibly minor complaints. This guy looks absolutely incredible, and I love how UT keeps turning the movies' physically impossible designs into figures we can actually own and transform. We are SPOILED!!

Follows the typical Masterpiece pattern (in a good way)- represent as many details as you can, even if they have to change the size of said detail. Very nice looking figure and I will probably get him, though I really do like my Rendersora.

Also, I got the second run for Challenger. What were the changes made between runs?

I absolutely love how UT can up their game every time. First PK, then Challenger, then LaHire. I didn't think it would be possible to make a more drastic transformation so seamlessly until these photos. Wow.

Gahd dehm that\'s pretty.  I really wish they landed on the knight designs before it stupided itself to death.  They\'re so recognisable and has a touch of elegance.

bayformer movies are total garbage. many re-visited characters are ugly as hell. and they pull off all the ridiculous transformation in the movie with sfx. yet UT made it real and save some of the characters. it all begins with peru kill. I had no interest in that lockdown figure until UT made it. yet UT should tackle that iconic head-gun transformation of him. that would be a truly magic engineering.

Think about it if UT or any other 3p com didn't do this, H/T would never give us anything like this level with this price. hasbro toys now are more like for age 10-.

This design is cool, but it belongs in a predator film. Never liked it as Megatron, but hats off to the designers of this toy. They did a fantastic job.
