Well that's good news I guess but I like the paint job just how it is myself. I've seen a lot of custom movie Megatrons with oversaturated gold accents that stick out in a bad way, don't want that to happen here.

 

I would take a transformable figure that looks as elegant as a non-transformable one any time any day!

 

Man I’m actually quite impressed with the alt mode. It’s not horrible at all. And simply saying it’s a silly space vehicle works better than others.

 

While ideally he could probably use a bit more paint apps, the fact that the sculpt is that close to the CGI model and it transforms to the jet what appears cleanly enough is amazing. Well done Unique Toys. My money is waiting for you.

 

Holy hell, UT has done it again! Truly stunning. I have the same reservations I have with every UT product which is face detailing and knee bend being sufficient or not, but he looks to have every strength that UT figures have and then some. I really think they just keep getting better!

 

Sorcery. From an angular pointy alt mode to a smooth curvaceous bot mode. I love it when figures can make a head-scratching change like this - the same reason I love figures like DX9's Astrotrain. The change is just so severe.

 

The cannon looks a bit too big and the jet mode proportions arent 100% accurate, but those are two nitpicks i have no problems looking past.

How is it possible to make a transforming figure look so similar to a freaking 3A figure? UT have really outdone themselves with this one.

My problem with Challenger and Peru Kill are their kinda blocky proportions, but with Megatron that is not the case.

 

He’s gonna be like this fascinating 3D puzzle man. Plan folding onto a skeleton.

 

Looks great, hoping that they aren’t putting lights in the eyes though. Makes them look so dead 99% of the time

I actually like the jet mode more now. The 3A comparison really shows how soft the sculpt is and none of my joint concerns have been proven wrong. He's still in a static pose. Proper ankles are the... Achilles heel of UT.

 

I Think their gonna stick with the colored sample that they posted, they just clarified that there won't be 2 versions for dragoon, they'll be more consistent with this release. Me personally im fine with the current colors, but the red on the face seems weird for me, it looks more like a blop of red than a streak.

 

Off-topic but does anyone know if 3A is still planning on actually releasing that megatron?

 

Man, Dragoon giving S.T Commander some serious competition for Figure of the Year. And now i need to get Challenger to go with this sexy Megatron, RIP wallet .
