Lmao..Are you serious? .I bust myself laughing when I read the words that it will cost a tad more to order from specialty stores...on what moron planet is 200 USD considered a \"tad\" more? How can someone even suggest that idea with a straight face? Too funny, man, too funny

Is it just me or does this seem like a "bad toy"? I don't really get any "toyetic" pull from this. How does someone play with it? I know it is for collectors, but we collect because it is a toy, right?

...well i've already backed the project and it's still a year out from production, so our complaints are legitimate and now is the appropriate time to air them...

...those hollow hands are a trivial, lightweight fix, and not something i'd accept from any other manufacturer at this price point; yes, hasbro gets a pass for producing an official unicron at an unprecedented scale, but they're not playing up to par and these sorts of sub-par decisions only serve to embellish their competitors' products by comparison...

Apologies if this was already mentioned or answered earlier, but I really don’t understand why the Takara Mall (Japanese) and Hasbro Taobao (Chinese) orders for this won’t count toward the 8000 unit (or $4.6 million) crowdfunding effort. The hurdle to get this thing produced already feels dauntingly high, why would they then purposely set it up to fail even harder?

6000 units in 3 weeks, after it’s already hit its peak interest, doesn’t feel possible at this point without some East Asian market assistance.

Same. I've been debating with myself if I actually want this figure, but I'm just not a huge enough fan of the character. I think I'll just watch what people post up and enjoy it that way.

Are you suggesting that fans that back this are suckers?

Not that helped much though. So far only 96 backers from China.

Exactly. When I moaned about lack of international shipping, somebody said BBTS have you covered. Erm with the sorry but with the extra amount on top, it's simply not an option!

International availability here to most countries via a reputable seller Inc USA, prob cheaper than buying from Hasbro lol.

Retail Inc USA non pulse (bar independents ordering as they go) will be added in towards the end once the total unit volume is known.

Hasbro will only want a final figure and not a drip feed, equally the shops will only want to collate all orders before closing and finalising. Hasbro are keeping tabs on retail numbers progressively and are in comms with the retailers.

Which is a good thing, as the numbers on Hasbro Pulse have declined a couple today. Negative sales since this morning.

    From the TT Mall site.
"Hasbro's crowd-funded "HAS Lab" project "Uniclon" will be accepted at Takara Tomy Mall in Japan as well!
It is commercialized when the target number is reached all over the world."

And considering this is a Hasbro project, I think Hasbro should put something out.
Is it still US and Canada only or not?

I’m expecting news any day now. We’ve entered August and backers have slowed more than many expected.

News I’ll be unimpressed with: a small figure or ship to go with Unicron.

News I’ll be Impressed with: A new line of Micromaster sized mainline characters to go with Unicron and current Titan figures. 1 or 2 being released with Unicron then more going forward.

I'm not shocked. People that have the money went in right away. For the most part, not many would he able to scrap funds together in the short window given. It was an all or none deal and it's not looking great. Also screw that markup with BBTS

LOL, it was just me being a smartass to be honest. I saw the opportunity for the obvious joke and tried my best to bite my sarcastic tongue but I am really bad at that lol. No harm intended. That said, people can infer whatever they like. Personally, I don't have a dog in this fight because I see zero good about the existence of this....thing.

You beat me to it. I imagine Hasbro was/is waiting for when (not if) the line started to flatten before initiating another media blitz. I expect two to three promotions, each revealing a little bit more. Was wondering if it might start on a Friday to ride into the weekend and then hit every two weeks or so. But what do I know I’m not in marketing

I am still pretty sure it'll be backed by the deadline. I have no worries at all.

Holy shit, this is clearly the first time a lot of people have ever seen a crowdfunded toy before.

Remind me to stop looking at this thread for the next three weeks cause it's just gonna be people concluding that "it's over...it'll never happen...it's stalled...that's it...."

    Sheesh.
