With one caveat. One helpful employee tells me some collectibles according to skus are not reorderable. Whatever that means. Almost everyone on this board can lament Walmart distribution as a crap shoot. Hmm

 

Well, unfortunately, I've seen some scalpers posting pics of themselves walking out with whole cases of Soundwaves. So yes, this may be a case where he may be hard to find depending on where you live for the first wave. But I think once Walmart makes him available for sale off the website, a lot of that will slow down.

 

Yeah, hopefully this is like the Optimus Primes where everybody will get a chance to get one. Or even better, the Hot Rods which are still on the website and discounted.

 

I just need the cassettes. Is there a brick seek for them? It seems the Wally World links don't work anymore.

 

I mean probably, but like @Bruticus10 said, it's a crapshoot. The Walmart here never restocked Starscream or Devastator but Optimus went quickly and then restocked at least twice and then shelf warmed.

Cool, I hope you guys enjoy them. I’ve liked g1 since I was in kindergarten. I’m not old enough to have gotten g1 transformers when they were available so I learned about them from the rhino vhs tapes I borrowed from Hollywood video and the ultimate guide book I borrowed from the library. It really is great that Hasbro is giving younger fans the opportunity to enjoy these old figures as well as allowing older fans to relive their childhood memories by purchasing these figures in store (I just wish they were more available for everyone).

 

He's a bucket list figure for me, so this is amazing.

 

Got me a nice g1 Soundwave reissue today at the byberry road Walmart in Philly this morning. There were 6 in stock and the employee told me he just put them out.
Now my search turns to the cassette packs. Hopefully I can locate them soon.

I'm not sure why Walmart won't just offer these in their website, maybe they will later on. I just want one I've seen posts on Facebook groups were a guy bought out a few stores with like 4 or 5 cases.

Hopefully these will reach saturation soon.

 

Yeah I went through about 12-15 orders being cancelled before I finally got my Starscreams! Good news is my local stores are showing inventory and it is moving, went down to 4 then back up to 6 so they're restocking the shelves it seems. Hopefully they'll still be there next week! I really want to be able to go into the store and pick one off the shelf and take it home. Was my dream as a child but we could never find one. Would be annoying as hell if I missed out again as an adult.

Oh and to explain why I need another week, I'm down in Australia for work so popping into my local SD county Walmart is a liiiiiiiitle difficult, lol.

Is anyone having any luck with the cassettes? Brickseek is being brickseek and I keep checking my wally and others and it says they have them. But nothing. I was lucky to get the Soundwave. But the cassettes are proving to be harder to find.

 

People have been posting that they have discovered with cassettes. Not to   but most Walmarts are still in the middle of their Mod Set change. If you don't see it in stores and brickseek shows inventory, it's most likely in the back still. If I understand correctly, the sets should be done by Monday-ish.
