I swear I seen a post a page or two back saying we were getting an update on dragoon July 30th and we were going to get a sneak peek at R-04!? I guess that’s what they are postponing til August 2nd?

 

Optimus and Megatron's heights are 28' and 30' respectively. So Dragoon is in canonical scale with Challenger, but not Knight Orion. If you prefer Optimus and Megatron to be equal height and don't care about canonical scale though, then Dragoon will fit with Knight Orion well enough for you.

 

But is it confirmed that KO is a head taller than Challenger? Afaics ShowZ Store is listing them both as 28cm...

 

I've measured my Challenger myself and he came out at 27cm; he does grow a bit with the hip joints extended but that looks terrible. I assume ShowZ is going off the extended height because "bigger is better." Also someone in the Knight Orion thread compared photos of both Primes next to MPM-03 and Knight Orion was noticeably taller, but that's admittedly all I know of regarding its height as I don't care for that figure and stopped following its development months ago so I don't annoy the people who do like it by complaining in its thread all the time.

 

Yeah I assume that means "release pics" not "release the figure". My guess is Dragoon will be out around october, which is when challenger and PK came out in their respective years.

Haha same I was just shitting on it all the time cause Challenger looks so much better to me but I realized there was no point so I left. I guess it's cause I WANTED to like Orion so much, but all the little weird details and proportional issues kept throwing me off. Then that awful truck mode was revealed...

Definitely. Thank god it goes with Challenger and all their other releases.

 

What do you guys want to see next after this megatron comes out?

 

sticking to Movieverse stuff? I'd like to see someone do a better take on Crosshairs maybe; the official versions haven't quite been up to par.

For real though Crosshairs would be a pure win. Maybe save Drift for later but I need him. Hell I’d even buy the weird Hot Shot/Tracks retool.

 

a Drift that's an actual triple-changer would be neat but honestly I'd rather have Shatter & Dropkick first.

 

Also yes! Honestly I’m even fine with car mode versions of those two but if they made the triple changing work I would buy hard.

 

Being that they have been focusing on TLK bots I suspect Crosshairs would be next then maybe they tackle Drift as a triple changer.
