I know about 1% of the Digimon Story series but other Digimon games are as I experienced them.

Digimon 2, 4 and DS are RPG games with Pokémon-like gameplay. Select your starter Digimon and complete missions in dungeons and earning experience points and digivolve. But there are level caps.

In DS, you have to de-digivolve to become stronger and increase the cap repeatedly. Some digimon require special types of experience points to get what you want. Like machine xp to get MetalGreymon or Machinedramon and dark XP for Devimon and Myotismon.

Sometimes you can combine 2 digimon to unlock other Digimon. Sometimes combining can fail and end up with Numemon.

4 is a RPG hack-n-slash more focused on swords and other handheld weaponry.

Battle spirit and 2 are fighting games where you play using famous Rookie level and in battle, you can grab an item to digivolve to their highest forms.

Digimon Rumble Arena and 2 are also fighting games but in the style of Super Smash Bros.

I'm just currently disappointed that no Dragon Quest games *older ones* are on the Switch yet.

IIRC the 3DS version of XI had the ability where you could download the original once you beat it but we never got that version.

 

I've depositededed $50 on the Pokémon themed Nintendo Switch Lite at my nearest GameStop and the last available pre-order.

I feel very happy right now and I'm waiting for my order of the racing game Diddy Kong Racing DS to arrive this week.

This is the 4th video game system that has a theme on it that i have. The others are: Pokémon XD : Gale of Darkness themed Gamecube, Classic N.E.S. themed Gameboy Advance SP and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask themed New Nintendo 3DS XL.

Help me out: should I get FE Three Houses or Mario Maker 2? It's a tough decision for me.

 

I can't comment on Fire Emblem Three Houses, because I don't own it, but Super Mario Marker 2 is a brilliant game. The story mode has tons of fun and creative levels, the tools they provide to make the stages are great, and the community is wonderful.

I guess it'll depend on whether you like to play multiple levels that provides fun in short bursts, or whether you want something to invest into in the long run.

I got a lot of games I want in the next 3/4 months!

I'm finishing up Tales of Vesperia....on easy mode....I cannot, for the love of god, pull off the better artes! It definitely needs a proper replay later on. I got Hollow Knight waiting to be played, so that's next in line.

I think I got my play order set. I'll go Vesperia->Hollow Knight->Link's Awakening->Ghostbusters->Pokemon->Luigi's Mansion->Dragon Quest->No No Kuni->Astral Chain->Bloodstained->Final Fantasy X/XI. This should take me well into next year, so I might have to throw in Witcher 3, No More Heroes 3, and Trails of Mana in there somewhere.

 

Awesome. Anyone know if it will be a physical or digital release or both?

Never had a problem with GameStop. I'll pre-order tomorrow.

A good game for $30.

I waited a year to pick up a copy on PS3 for $20.

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil coming to Switch August 9th, 2019

Turok fanboy is happy!

Now there is a long shot but the Trinity will be complete if Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion comes to Switch in the near future.

Turok 3 was released on Nintendo 64 in 2000.

 

Any updates of Bethesda changing the mandatory login for Doom, Doom 2 and Doom 3 on Switch to optional?
