I put the guns on the side here to cover the gap in the truck. That's the one thing I don't like about this mode.

More dishonest than Decepticon. That's called lying through omission. Generally bragging about stuff like this on a message board is frowned upon.

Still dishonest no matter how you slice it with whatever mental gymnastics you use to excuse it. If you know you're paying less due to a mistake, that is dishonest. And here he is bragging about it on a message board. Maybe he shoulda kept his dishonest discount to himself.

    Truth hurts.

I do speak for myself because I'm honest. Obviously you have spoken for yourself as well.

OH NO THE MEGACORPORATION HAS A FEW LESS DOLLARS! Seriously though, my feeling is it was their error so no need to correct them. I heard that there's a law in some states too that says that you have a right to pay the price that is stated if they fuck up.

I managed to accidentally pop off one of the white leg clips. Does anyone know a good way to get it back on? I was thinking I could unscrew the leg, but doesn't look like that will help unless I also pop out the pin.

    :(

Yeah I get Walmart or whatever faceless corporation (which is an oversimplification) isn't gonna miss the money. My point is it's dishonest. Yes, it's not as dishonest as outright theft from the store or lying about the price, but it's still dishonest. Whether or not people want to label it that way is up to them. Just because a law wasn't broken per se doesn't mean someone wasn't dishonest.

Let's put it this way. What if he had accidentally overpaid and the cashier pocketed the difference? Would the cashier be in the right? Are we really at "Finders, keepers, losers, weepers?"

I don't believe in the cosmic sense of karma, but come on guys... golden rule anyone?

P.S. That law appears to be an oddity to California and possibly some other states, but applies to items improperly tagged with an incorrect price. It's more of a protection against bait and switch tactics. Good luck getting a store to sell you a 3000 dollar appliance for 300 dollars because they forgot to put in the extra zero.

    Picked this up yesterday.

I want to love it, or even really like it. Kind of "meh" on it. Both alt modes are kind of terrible. The way the robot forearms hang out behind the smaller cab mode is terrible. The larger firetruck mode is kind of a mess. The engineering is pretty neat though. I like what they're trying to do and it holds together pretty well in all modes. The kicker for me really is the lack of under panels for the giant guns. It didn't need to be a full filler, but it needed something because it really emphasizes the hollow and kind of kills the stowed behind the back look.

It feels like most Hastak mainline releases nowadays: There's an amazing idea here that doesn't quite have the plastic budget to fully pull it off. I vastly prefer the regular Siege Prime to this.

I was really wanting to like this figure, but returned it hours later. Really didn't jive with me, and I love the Cybertron design!

I like this fig a lot more than I expected to. I resisted getting one until I saw one on the wrong spot on a shelf meant for voyagers I assume (being it was $20 less than leaders normally are) so I took it to a price check scanner in the store and was disappointed to see it come up at the full normal price. So I took it back and left it on the shelves, I think closer to the proper price tags. Still, somehow it had wormed its way into my head, and now I really wanted one, so about a week and a half later, at a different retailer, I picked one up. Full price, but I did get a slight discount for using the store's card to pay with (almost covered the sales tax!)

But opening it up, I found it enough different from Ultra Magnus to make it slightly confusing to transform the first time. Having the original of Cybertron OP was obviously no help either. But I got the hang of it soon enough, and it's easy enough to TF now.

As much as this is based on Cybertron OP, it's also very different. No (official) flying truck mode (though I did manage to fanmode a version up, not very stable and it has a robot head coming out the rear), the legs don't really homage the original much at all (just look like UM's legs recolored which they basically are.) Small robot mode is all sorts of "wrong". And oddly the the big cannons are on the wrong sides in truck mode.

Yet I still really enjoy the "little" guy. Yeah little, he's smaller compared to the original than Leader Jetfire is to Commander Jetfire! But still glad I bought it.

I got it yesterday and I instantly regrettes it after transforming it. How is it even possible for all wheels to be on the same plane???

    Edit:

of all the TFs I ever handled, this is the one which has made me change my mind the most. It's quite a fun TF, once you manage to click everything together right for the alt mode. Good fun, and I would now recommend its purchase.

this is a good update for galaxy prime, my one issue is that he didn't need metal pins for his legs, i know this is a carryover from ultra magnus but i feel this good have gone to additional detail painting

Nice!! Not having blue arms and lack of paint on the leg guns are two things that killed this fig for me the most, and makes me wish Hasblow hadn't neutered Takara and we still had possible LEGENDS coming...

TBH, I don't know why HasTak doesn't just start making "extra paint" versions of half of these toys like this, I know I and probably several other people would shell out some extra $$ for a more accurate toy. Generations Selects is off to a slow start tbh, considering how they got rid of Botcon and all the mail away and event exclusives Takara used to pump out.

Sigh... maybe we'll eventually get some overpriced exclusive set with a new tooling Sonic Bomber like they did for God Ginrai's box set.

Shh...shhhhh. Settle down. They're just toys. Life's too short to get this worked up over plastic.

The original is still there, waiting for you. Let the people like me who never got to play with it have their fun.
...and I have to disagree. I never got to go to a BotCon (would give my left nut to), but to me, the idea of niche repaints similar to BotCon toys, but released piecemeal and at no additional markup, sounds a lot better than a box set for $409 (at most, in 2015).

I remember asking Pete when he fielded questions here if he'd do a Legends figure as an exclusive for people who didn't wanna splurge. Enough interest was gathered, and sure enough, BotCon 2014 yielded the first of these...as a box set freebie.

The next year, it was Reflector. $60 for three of the same toy that would be made moot by Siege 4 years later.
