I also got very anxious whenever I saw that dot closing in on my position. Sadly I suck at stealth games, so I had a very hard time getting to the end. But, it was worth it.

    Tales of Berseria: 8/10

Best Tales game since Vesperia. After the low point that was Tales of Zestiria, playing through this game was really satisfying. Better story, better characters, just all around better (except maybe for the party character designs; not a particular fan of those).
The only other thing that I might complain about is that it is, in fact, a prequel to Zestiria. Something I missed until well into the story, at least in part due to almost completely forgetting everything that happened in Zestiria. Honestly thought it might have had more connections with Phantasia/Symphonia for a while due to some direct mentions pretty early on of Martel and the World Tree. Even Artorius/Innominat in the final battle is strongly evocative of Yggdrasil in Symphonia.

Roughly the same as every other game. Just annoyed with the talkie bits. I just want to collect them all.

I have that game on my wish list on my switch.

    That pic got me rollin'.

Recently, I beat (for the umpteenth zillion time) Resident Evil 4 on Switch and it gets the same score I gave long long time ago.

    10/10

Homefront: The Revolution on Xbox One.

I have dubbed 2019 the "Year of the Backlog" and am trying to play some games I've bought but never touched (or even unwrapped). I think I liked it more than most did, 6.5/10.

Since The Division 2 has come out, I haven't played anything else, so my backlog quest is on the back burner lol

Just finished 'Life is Strange' on Xbox game pass. I really enjoyed the story and Chloe was a character that I couldn't help but get invested in. Plenty of twists and turns in the there to maintain interest and the main game mechanic was fun, a few times it took me back to my teens as well. I ended up choosing Chloe in the end.

    7.5 out of 10

Now I'll give 'Before the Storm' a play.

Finished both Majora's Mask and Deserts of Kharak on the weekend
Majora's Mask: 8/10 an excellent game, wish the bosses were a bit tougher and dungeons more complex but sidequests are one of their bests in video games

Deserts of Kharak: 9/10 very fun, very good and interesting campaign, made me really look forward to playing the rest of the Homeworld Games please no spoiler for the rest of the Homeworld games
Screw you Sakala, it was fun blowing you up, you traitorous bastatrds

Man, Kate Marsh's story in chapter one fucking ruined me. Saving her felt just as meaningful as saving the galaxy in Mass Effect.

Yeah it was intense, and dealt with some dark subject matter. Luckily being a nosy bugger and looking at the picture of Kate with her sisters ended up saving her life.

The end of episode three / start of episode four got me by the feels the most, and I'd even let Chloe steal the disabled charity money from the principal's desk.

    Mega Man 11:

Beat it on Normal Mode. It is... pretty challenging. I had to use an E tank on many stages and died many times before figuring out patterns and how to complete the stages. Lots of fun, but lots of cursing lol. My stepson just downloaded it and was like man this is HARD!!!

Also, beat it on Casual Mode. WAY more fun. A little TOO easy, but reminded me time and time again of playing MM2 or MM3. I like enjoying the stages and blowing through bad guys as long as you had their weakness weapon.

I LOVE the graphics and music in this game! The cutscenes are ok, a little goofy but whatever. I hope they do a MM12 like this.

Overall, I would give it an 8.5/10.

So i finished up AC Unity( the only main title in the franchise i hadn't played.) and was surprised. I LIKE Arno.

As a huge fan of the series, i can be one of it's most vocal critics when it misses a mark. I avoided it initially due to glitches and not being much of an online gamer at the time. Having run through it now i find the most daunting thing to be that the French Rev. isn't my time period. i love history but the scene never captured my interest. The movements are fluid but I found the combat predictive and lackluster. All but the murder mysteries seemed like stale busy work. And what the hell happened to Shea? The guy kills your dad for hell's sake.

So far I'm enjoying the DLC more than the main game.

As for a score? I give it a 6/10, and that's mostly due to the phantom blade being the laziest upgrade ever. it's the darts/ throwing knives. Fancy it all you want it just is. Oh and the removal of the whistle lure. Why?

    On to ODYSSEY...

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2-6/10 Most of it was easy, doing the challenges for better stuff was sometimes fun.

The final battle sucked as I had to sing into the mike, which will eventually damage my 2DS, plus Zonda heals themself, plus Zonda had a damn shield up 80% of the time. Why couldn't they have had a normal battle?

While I'm not one to gripe over endings usually, it felt very anticlimactic and unsatisfying. I still haven't beat the first ASG yet.

The bosses weren't quite as memorable as the first game's either.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider. 4/10. Let's replace the parts of the game that players enjoyed (story, challenges, fights) and replace them with more item fetching and hit or miss wall grappling. Want to unlock more skills? Hope you gleaned enough points from picking up documents and shooting tapirs. I yawned my way through most of this game.

A Way Out - 9/10. God damn, I don't think I've ever gotten so emotional over a video game since Halo 4. You start this game thinking it won't hit you right in the feels, and boom it does and suddenly you're depressed! In all seriousness, I love the story, the gameplay is really fun, immersing and definitely makes the game much more enjoyable when playing with a good friend (we need more co-op only games like this).
The acting is incredibly good in my opinion, too. Definitely my favorite game that I've played in a long time, and honestly it's probably my favorite game story out of all time.

    Far Cry 5

The story is...meh. The boss fights were...anticlimactic. The gun feel is great, a ton of glitches as expected from a Far Cry game, but it just feels like a hassle to get the Platinum on the PS4 due to the online portions of the game. It's not hard, but there are just so many bad maps on the Arcade Mode.

    I'd give it a 6/10

Looking to finish the Sleeping Dogs Remastered next, it got too tedious to just collect everything.

    The Red Strings Club
It was very good for what it was.

    Soma
Walking simulator with really awful hide and seek pseudo-stealth "horror" game segments thrown in. The story felt padded out and robo existentialism bores me. It was alright.

    Noel the Mortal Fate
This is some grade A anime bullshit, the translation is terrible, and the gameplay is just not there lol. I still liked it though.
