Interesting idea, but as said above, the reality leaves a bit to be desired. Looks a bit like Optimus is in a Power Loader from the 'Aliens' series.
Jetfire: Please Optimus! Let me finish tranforming!! OP: No! We need these homage pics taken!!! If they find a way to use the black armor bits on OP's chest, then they might get a better use of it.
It's certainly something a bit different. Not for me, but points for creativity and effort. I'm sure this will find it audience.
This isn't so much as a combined form of Optimus and Jetfire as it is really more of Jetfire opening up to let Optimus in a bit but still I give them points for trying something different as opposed to giving us basically the same thing we expect most 3rd party companies to do when it comes to upgrade sets. Not that the latter is a bad thing not by a long shot but I like it when some companies think outside the box a bit.
I got a better idea for a 3P to come up with: Make a BB Movie Jetfire in that movie's aesthetic to combine with BB S.S. Voyager Optimus.
Nope. I saw this and immediately thought of all those UC Gundams/MSes with docking gimmicks, i.e. Dendrobium, Narrative A-Pack, and Neo Zeong.
