I’ve got the Sonokong, Encore and Legends Blue myself.

I hope to grab the rest of the set some day too, but they’re a little harder to come by and usually come with a hefty price tag.

He’s quite probably my favourite ever TF figure and I’d happily buy him again in a colour scheme I already own just to get that gun.

    Why no Studio Series?

They really seem to be prioritizing Siege and Selects over Studio Series. Which make a ton of sense from a business perspective given that they have a massive Siege TV show coming and no movie on the horizon for at least two years.

I’m passing on the Seacons I think. I’m sure it’ll come in at $170+ for the set and I just don’t love them that much.

Looking at Rumble/Frenzy and trying to figure out if you can flip the hand drivers round to be fists or not.

I wonder if TT was waiting for our group to finish subbing BW Neo to try and sell more toys to westerners. ;) That Matrix Buster looks impressive!

...i think the studio series was put into the development / production pipeline before the last knight bombed, and that despite hasbro/takara putting the brakes on the line afterward, that momentum carried through the initial release of bumblebee figures before we started seeing things slow down at retail due to its two-year lead time...

...now that bumblebee's proven the live-action franchise a viable property again, and hasbro/takara re-engaged development, we're still looking at late next year before new toys come to market due to the same development / production lead-time...

Seems like a good theory. It’s possible we’ll see toys of the Cybertron Autobots, but I’m inclined to think they’ll wait until the next movie cycle for reasons stated above.

So when's the next Japanese toy show?

Because it’s 11:52 pm over there and there’s not even a hint of Armada Optimus Prime in this show...

I find your lack of Armada Optimus disturbing.

So uh, I guess that Armada Optimus figure has been put on the back burner.
