Transformed mine back and forth for the first time today. What a wonderful piece. Peru Kill was already one of my favorite figure ever thanks to its very smart engineering and the fact the robot mode almost seems like it's a non transformable piece because of how different it is from the vehicle mode with so little visible kibble. LA Hire feels the same but even more refined. The transformation is just great with some good ideas, impressive parts and the fact that everything simply work/move/connect/disconnect/rotate so well with no wiggling, fiddling, no need to force anything... Because of space issue, I sometime think about selling all my non G1 MP figures but after handling LA Hire, I don't think I'll have that thought again for a while.

 

Honestly, never watched the movies. Both Peru Kill and this are tempting me to jump into them. I guess I may surrender as they are so amazing.

 

Peru Kill is one of the best engineered TFs I own, I'm buying this on his greatness alone.

 

peru kill is one of the milestone of the transformer toy engineering. it actually makes bayformers a bit more lovable.

the " where is the car" level of design set a higher bar for other bayformer toys.

the beast war dinobot mp-41 could have done a better job to this level. that body of the beast mode is a mess.

 

Not only Peru Kill, let's not forget TLK Prime.

UT has proven transformation engineering for the movie line.

 

Let's not forget their upcoming TLK Megatron. To me it looks like it'll be their best work yet.

 

Peru Kill set the bar and so far UT only surpassed it.
I can't wait to get their Megatron in hand and see where they will go after that.

With Tung Mung (something like that?) going out of business I'm still in the market for a good Mercwave and Sideswipe.
And Mohawk and Nitro Zeus....

let hope UT can tackle the transformation of the triple changers in the bee movie.

 

Toyworld is attempting to do so at the moment. I hope UT will stick to the AoE/TLK characters, cause they're doing a killer job at it.

 

I was initially excited about Toyworld but they are doing their "MPM" series in 3A scale.

 

Wait, what? Shatter and Dropkick will be 3A scale? That's just too big. And i was getting excited about their Crosshairs and Drift...

Oh well, at least they have a great Optimus in the works.

 

knowing that , i fully went with 3A DLX prime tbh. Not to say TW offering is bad but the transformation with the leg fully intact without any conversion is just lazy. I want the Bee character figure to looks as good as their 3A bee

 

Mine arrived with no little lady so now I get to deal with TF Source customer service. Bleh.

I know you didnt ask me but i just wanted to point out the issues i have with it:

The cannon on his right arm is inaccurate, and there's too much robot kibble under the jet. Other than that he's pretty great though.
