So the main book is changing to a monthly release? I hasn\'t heard that news until now. I guess the other series will pick up and we\'ll be getting roughly as much per month as before.
I think it’s because they’re introducing a second book that it’s going monthly. We will still have two transformers comics a month as usual.
Excited for Galaxies but a bit bummed by this. The story is slow moving at the best of times, as we all know. I’m excited to see how it all escalates, and at this rate I don’t think we’ll be at war until 2021.
That Insecticon cover makes me laugh. Just look at them. It the same bulky, goofy Insecticons from G1, but they're hunched over and eating(?) a guy, and the art is so super gritty it's ridiculous. How can anyone take that seriously? It's just silly and trying so hard to be edgy, but it's still Transformers so it just ends up looking stupid.
I thought bombshell was carrying the other two under his arms until others pointed out what the picture is supposed to be.
The cover with Soundwave, Megatron and Soundwave is so utterly dull and lifeless that it reminds me of the box art from Universe 2.0. Hell, you could slap Starscream or Soundwave onto one of those boxes and it'd be a perfect fit. I get that they're supposed to be standing dramatically but only Megatron manages to barely pull that off-- the other two just look like statues.
I have no idea, though frankly that seems to apply to a lot of the current artists working on the TF books right now.
That applies to many comic artists these days. Take a look at the cover for the second printing for the new Valkyrie.
Not particularly excited about the TF book going monthly. I get it, I get it... The famed Galaxies book and all... Waste of resources IMO. I've been holding off on reads until I have 2-3 issues in hand as it is. I'll forget what's even going on by December. No complaints on money saved. Not going in on Galaxies until I hear whether or not it's a tighter knit story with the main universe. More money funneled to the X-Men books, so I can get with that.
Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream are trying to find a way to achieve peace? That’ll be interesting to see, although I’m not very optimistic about it being successful. I’m wondering if the way the Constructicons will get their gone is from those bots the Insecticons are killing (if the cover indicates anything). If so, it reminds me of the plot twist from Soylent Green.
