If that's an either/or, save yourself and buy Unicron!

That’s asking for a lot of hinges which would 1. Take away shape of the sphere and 2. Increase part count by a lot and seems completely impossible to put in the arms and legs and such. That’s going to require a lot of branches to be connected. Where are those gonna go?

Sorry that’s not a feasible solution what so ever

I think the engineering looks pretty close or maybe "slightly inspired by" - giant planet chunks behind the shoulders, panels hanging off the forearms and lower legs. Maybe saying the word "damn" was too much.

They seriously need to add long spikes to the shoulders but I understand the figure’s still being worked on.

    Whats that?

Away from movie stuff? You mean the 1986 movie? Its a unique post if so so i wanted to check lol.

    BBTS ;)

You can read Japanese? Anything else you wanna Translate if so, or just guessing?

It transforms like the 1986 movie isnt that awesome! The arms come out like that especially Warden said.

Yeah that would be nice. Like Fans Toys would do. But as long as its solid and it follows the animation transformation like Warden said.

Seriously bro that doesn't make any since. Im positive Star Wars & Transformers Hasbro HasLab departments are different teams.

I used to have Energon Unicron when i was a adult. :D  (same timeframe though when it was released)

Right bro because for me (& sounds like you too) it was "I used to have Optimus Prime 1984, when I was a kid." :lol

Bbts already has him listed for almost $775 with a $150 upfront charge but if the crowdfund isn’t met they’ll refund your deposit

So am I the only one slightly bothered by the fact that his chin isn't cleft like it's supposed to be? Also, I'm a little concerned that there are only 37 days left and we're nowhere close to meeting the goal.

It isn’t that the 86 movie stuff isn’t neat, but I’ve got to draw the line somewhere. The most TF nostalgia I have is for S1/2, some toys I had that showed up later, and BW so that is where I’m spending my TF money (on MP versions). I also get superhero stuff, Lego, and random other lines, so I have to put some limits or it would get crazy and the 86 movie is just one of those things I’ve cut because I love other things more.

Wasn’t that Death Star/Darth Vader transformer a heavy retool of Primus?

As much as I would love to own this massive and impressive looking figure I just don't have the room or money. I think I'll just buy another Energon Unicron since I sold off the one I owned as a kid because it was in such bad shape. That was one of my first ever Transformers I owned as a kid so I have a lot of nostalgia for it and I just prefer Unicron in that badass black color scheme along with that design.

I wish they made that Beast Wars Neo Unicron.  I would\'ve bought that on site because I was stationed in Japan about that time.

The orange is just a trick of the lighting. I did the same thing Takara did in this promo image. All I did was change the lighting levels and the contrast no color editing at all.

(look at the prime toy used to show size comparison. the colors are identical to the actual Toy)

So that being said, it's still quite beautiful. So don't let the haters and complainers deter you, if you like what you see, Do the right thing and BACK it. :)
