I never thought I’d say this because I’m old now and prefer easy to play, simpler games but I like the difficulty in this game. You can’t just button mash to win. You actually have to use all the extras that are in the game to boost your characters. You have to think about team set ups and you have to understand when to use different types of attacks.

I’m digging the infinity missions and even sorta digging grinding side characters I wouldn’t usually use.

    Now someone make Synergy spreadsheet!

I’m looking forward to future DLC.

For those frustrated with the game- don’t lose hope. It has a learning curve but it’s worth it and it’s not that complex either but you do have to fiddle with the non-fighting stuff.

This game surprised me. I was waiting to just button mash with familiar faces. Kudos to the dev team for the huge roster and dlc expansion.

    Some initial tips:

Scarlet Witch is a good introductory projectile style character. Her first ability attack is easy to spam because it has homing abilities. Her synergy is okay and she can pair up with Starlord and Crystal. She’s good at spam attacking bosses with her first ability, especially if you power up the energy and mastery areas of the team.

Crystal and Starlord have good area attack abilities that pair good with physical characters. Starlord’s tornado is really good at lifting and dizzying some of the heavy hitting enemies. These two good excel against mobs. Starlord is trickier to direct his tornado.

This applies to early parts of the game. I’m barely starting the x-men area.

I finally got the chance to play the game (I decided to wait until I beat the Super Mario Marker 2 story mode before moving on).

The first level was quite fun, and the gameplay and graphics were good. The camera did get in the way sometimes though, and I need to learn the controls better. I kinda wish it didn't drop me straight into the first level, and tell me the controls as I was playing along.

Hopefully, I'll improve on the game as time goes on.

It’s a start! Costumes are purely aesthetic but they’re a lot of fun.

The costumes are the best part of any Ultimate Alliance game.
    My favorites are:
    • Iron Spider from MUA2
    • Ultimate Iron Man from MUA1
    • Weapon X Deadpool from MUA1
    • Beta Ray Bill from MUA1
    • Ultimate Thor from MUA1
    • Deadpool's palette swap from MUA3
