I prefer DHL when I have a choice most times (as long as the box isn't too big) because they text me updates and allow me the option to deliver without signature. I think my USPS carrier dreads when he sees EMS...
From the DX 31 on MW member sanity is optional. Snap of all the randome valks that has been produced . Arcadia PE VT-1, RVF-171EX Luca, RVF-25 Luca and Chuck Mustang VF-31E
WOOT! So I didn't waste my time after all...lol. I found some self-adhesive glossy clear laser printer compatible label material today at Michael's...unfortunately, it is far too thick and stiff to work for action figure labels. I'm going to have to do some more looking elsewhere tomorrow. In other news, I did a test print of my cleaned up labels on plain white paper today and it looks pretty good. So, a remastered version may not be necessary after all. Stay tuned!
I’m pretty happy with these. PREMIUM LASER CLEAR WATERSLIDE DECAL PAPER *10PK 8.5"x11" | eBay I don’t think they are glossy but they look good to me for my 3P transformers and Macross figures. For 3P, I use clear paper for faction symbols. For Macross, I mostly use white just for the Kite or Skull symbols so I don’t need to use the included decals.
Thanks man. The vintage sticker sheet I have is actually kind of a satin finish itself. So, non-glossy decal paper wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. I don't mind using waterslides either.
I prefer water slides. They are easier to put on and look like tampos if you do it well enough. Sweet! I don’t see those all stickered up often. Now it makes me want to print out a sheet of 1/48 decals. Haha
@FireSkyJet - So you did go decal crazy! My copy of the SSP decals are starting to peel slightly off as the previous owner put it on, not too fussy over it.
Yeah! I had to do it. I'm sure they will start to peel a bit sooner than later, but when they get bad enough, I'll wipe it clean. It's sexy even without the decals.
You really fell for that one didn't you @Slave IV? Like I mentioned in the Arcadia thread in MW: "Who now has the M7 licence to make the 11 valks"?
What sucks is that both Mr. K and T-REX are both hesitant since It'll be expensive(assume more than 18000yen, that was close to MSRP back in the day for the Yamato 1/60 VF-11... the Arcadia VF-1's cost substantially more than the Yamato V2 1/60 VF-1's despite using the same molds). Plus if those guys are saying expensive given that Arcadia's stuff already is, plus the Yamato 1/60 VF-11 wasn't exactly cheap either, I'm expecting $250. Mr. K, rather than being outright optimistic and excited, was hesitant when asked about a new VF-11 by Arcadia and also said he'd have to ask permission from the CEO. Note when asked about doing over the YF-21 and SV-51, he outright said he wanted to redo those and wasn't hesitant at all. This was all said in interviews a few years back before Arcadia even announced their SV-51. I honestly think a 1/60 DX VF-11 by Bandai is more likely to come out moreso than an Arcadia VF-11. Especially if they make a DX YF-21. I can see it now: DX VF-11B with FAST packs and atmospheric boosters DX VF-11C with space FAST packs Thunderbolt heavy armor(the one Kinryu used before he died) TamashiiWeb DX Pink Peckers VF-11C TamashiiWeb DX VF-11MAXL DX VF-11D Jamming Birds
ya know? I can't recall if Bandai ever historically made or sold a VF-11b either in toys or model kits. They did Mylene's Maxl in some old kit, but that ain't quite an Isamu VF-11b lookalike...
They made a 1/144 VF-11C Super Thunderbolt fighter/battroid kit back in the mid 90's. EDIT: Look at them big ass tail fins, Bandai knows what's up Valkyrie VF-11C
I beg to differ... The Super Thunderbolt is intended for space warfare, and doesn't have tail fins. Plus, they did a pretty poor job on the proportions. I've spent the past few weeks building my Hasegawa VF-11B... ...so I've developed a pretty good idea of what a Super Thunderbolt is supposed to look like.
I'd love to hear from everyone what their favorite Valk is as a toy! (I know that might even differ from Valks on screen since the toys can translate differently.) Or maybe we can decide on a top 5 and post a poll @Shin Densetsu ? I have valued everyone's opinion here and has helped me a ton on which purchases I pursue (particularly, those that I go back in time to buy hehe )
That's an easy one. Bandai's DX Chogokin YF-19, the best toy of the coolest Valkyrie design from the finest Macross series.
Mine is biased since I only have the old ones, 2 different HMRs and now the new DX VF-31E (which I have not opened yet since I want to give myself some time to enjoy). So I have to say the old 1/55s which I use as a standard if I like or dislike a Valkyrie. Which reminds me, I need to take it out and photograph it. My box from AJ through DHL once again looks like someone sat on it, but again the box did its job and protected the VF-31E just fine.
