Here's my sons WON 2.5" Collection. Unfortunately I did not know this picture is missing like 5 figures and Bowser. He said he couldn't find them, so like 2 days later I walked by his room, looked on his desk, and lifted up 1 of his Lego sets and they were all right there. Go figure.. He also has a 2" collection from Goldie International figures but, most of them have been torn apart and glued back together because "Bowser gets hungry" and my son was like 4/5 so... It's funny seeing how he played with them and how destructive he could be. I think i glued his Luigi back together like 20 times.
We found Spinys at Walmart yesterday. I decided to draw a background for mine. (Please keep in mind that I am a terrible artist. ) Heh. Anyway. Its a cute little guy.
Revealed at SDCC: Man do I wish the Sonic figures weren't friggin' bendy because they look pretty good Here's all the slides: Jakks Pacific & Disguise: 2019 Sneak Preview Panel At SDCC
I've kind of given up on the Nintendo line since it's all Mario now and $12 is a lot for a 4inch figure, but I'll probably end up pickijng up Lugwig since I have Iggy.
There's some listings on Amazon I stumbled upon not too long ago; Wind Waker Zelda, KK Slider from Animal Crossing, Yellow Yoshi and Inkling Boy. There's no images, but hey at least there's 2 (?) new figures. I want to know if the Inkling is just a re-release or not because I never got the first one; just the girl.
Ugh. Will someone please get the Zelda, F-Zero and Metroid toy licenses from Jakks and actually do something with it? Zelda and Metroid have tons of awesome creatures I'd love toys of and F-Zero has all its vehicles and drivers. So much untapped toy potential! I am sick of everything Mario! Not everyone is crazy about him! And to whoever is making Pokémon toys, why the Hell don't we have any Tyrantrum toys yet!?!?!
Agreed. You know how many freaking random critters they could be doing for Metroid in the 2inch line? Instead, they would rather do razzle dazzle red Bob-ombs, Silver Marios, and Dinosaur Sentai Yoshiranger.
So they're re-releasing 4" Fire Mario....nice. Might pick that up and hopefully they make an Ice Luigi as well.
But most people are, and that's what matters, in terms of what sells. Look at how much figures like Peppy and Slippy shelfwarmed; don't get me wrong, having all 4 members of Star Fox is awesome, and I'm glad they made them, but Mario has the appeal that reaches those that don't even play games. I do have to say though; for the love of shit, do a re-release of Waluigi. They've released Lakitu, and that was like, a wave or 2 apart from each other.
The only figures I have ever seen shelf warm have been propeller hat Mario, Tanooki Suit Mario, Raccoon Mario, and the new Odyssey Mario.
I don't know how it is in your neck of the woods, but the only place non-Mario stuff stuck around was ToysRus, which was great because that's where I got all my Metroid and Zelda figures. Every other store non-Mario stuff flew off the pegs and was impossible to find. Starfox figures did not stick around long here, and were probably the 3rd hardest stuff to come across. The Metroid stuff was the 2nd hardest stuff to find. The hardest to find figures were Big Bowser, all Bowser Jrs, any color of Orcharina Links, the Luigi/shyguy/greenlink/purplesamus wave, small skull kid, and any size Metroids creatures.
Hell, I only managed to find the 2 inch Metroid by going to Walmarts across Kansas, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
