Walking past the display today it was less noticeable which I figured would happen. Also giant Magnus behind him doesn’t help either.

 

It really depends on what buttons you need pressed. It you're looking for a sleeker version of MP-10, MS is the way to go. However, if you're after a perfect representation of the animation model, TE wins hands down.

In the end though, between MS, TE and MP-44, there is an Optimus Prime for everyone. So there's no real 'losers' in this race.

Do you ever double dip on characters? I don't but both MS and TE were unique and enticing enough for me to. I sold my MP10 Sana trailer and have a KO white MP10 as a homage to the mold.

I have MS with the bulk of my season 1 Autobots and TE with my 86 movie bots.

The 2 also feel uniquely different. If you favour FT build quality you might like the TE. MS feels lighter, but not less robust, in hand

As I prolly said the last time I posted this pic, the bulkier proportions for MS-01 probably make for a better Nemesis.

So yeah, if you're getting normal TE-01, I don't think its a problem to get black or white MS-01 so it feels like you're not double dipping.

He ends up with a narrow victory for MS, but it’s a matter of personal opinion.

I’d suggest watching it and deciding which factors are important to you.

 

If it doesn’t fit, then it’s because all the others don’t look toon enough compared with TE-01.

 

If anyone's actually questioning this, here's how to break it down:

If you want official product and some accuracy (with a lot of wiggle room), then you want MP-44/V.3
If you want a toy with a bit more playability and a thicc chunky Optimus, then you want Magic Square.
If you want cartoon accuracy with a more streamlined vehicle mode and can handle a less than playable transformation, then you want Transform Element.

Anything else, you're basically out of luck. You could go with MP-01 or MP-10, but those have their own issues.

 

I got both of them. You are right on the money. Ms is really fun to transform. ت is harder but not that hard.

It's quite attractive but I never felt like I had the time or wherewithal to transform it, and never did, so he stands there like a monument to my own shortcomings and failures.

I love his transformation. It's up there with Sunstreakers for me. I regularly flip these two back and forth just to experience their transformations.

Man just saw my pre-order release date change from july to sept/oct. Anybody else got that problem? Shipping problems from China?

 

Not sure, as MS keeps making repaints. Must mean they are selling well i guess... Some prefer the MS, and some prefer the TE. Maybe they both won?

If I was doing a second, this time around, i would pick the MS-01X with nice silver paint and shinnier red (for a different look than the toon TE-01), or maybe even the Nemesis version which seems properly colored, not sure. Alternatively, i'd wait for KO IT version of MP Prime v3...
