Indeed although I hope that Hasbro makes a Commander Class version of him soon, its literally the perfect scale / class for Star Saber whom is traditionally slightly bigger than Jetfire.

 

I'm happy enough with the MP Star Saber, but has to be said this guy has some rather lovely style.

 

Also combiner sized. Although this guy is even better and I prefer that.

 

According to the victory scale chart, and assuming Liokaiser is the same height as Devastator, Predaking and Raiden in Headmasters (16 m), and that Greatshot is the same height as Sixshot (7 m), Star Saber would be about 13-14 m iirc, hence right between Jetfire (9.5 m) and combiners... But yea commander would fit pretty well

To be honest he's kinda what I hoped an IDW Star Saber would look like before the actual IDW Star Saber design was revealed.

 

I actually liked the IDW design. Makes him look more like a super anime Ronin Warrior style fighter instead of Gundam Zeta and ZZ's weird cousin. Still, I suppose Iron Trans would have made for a better actual heroic-ish IDW design as opposed to the axe crazy murderer we got.

 

I also hope we see more of this guy. I love my MP SS, but he's a lacking in some key pose-ability and the level of sculpted and painted detail is little sparse for my tastes. I hope this company cleans up their prototype a bit and they're able to show off their might a little more.

 

Definitely on the posing. I want him to prove he’s the greatest swordsman in the universe.

 

I like the actual IDW Star Saber design too (hate the characterization but I love the design), but I prefer this one.

 

Iron trans is what I would assume a updated g1 / generations type Starsaber would look like . The improved articulation is welcomed , but funny you should mention zeta and zz . Iron trans alt mode is closer to zeta than takara’s especially with what they did with the legs .

 

Just went back through these guys' Weibo and such - No updates for anything for about 4 months. Should we assume this guy and the legends scale figures they were doing are dead? Damn shame if so, I sold my official MP Star Saber because this one overshadowed him so hard visually.

 

Not every 3P gives constant updates.

 

Obviously, but 6 months without a single word isn't great.

 

A lot of small 3P companies are side gigs for the designers, they are likely just consumed by their day job right now. Let's wait for them to delete all their social media before worrying about the sky falling.

 

The legends scale Datsun bros have been released, they're available on ShowZStore. So they've been quiet since color prototype and production of a different project.

They were probably hoping their smaller projects would help fund this into production.

 

3P companies take their time. I’ve seen it all before. One day it’ll come and they’ll be ready to show us a lot of stuff and we’ll settle then.
