I’m legitimately curious as to who has come up with the idea of just unveiling everything in the weeks/days leading up to these conventions. Studio Series at NYTF this year was disappointing because they’d revealed everything a week before the event (I actually thought the stuff revealed the week before was an “appetiser” of sorts). And Hasbro blew their entire load a month ago with the reveal of Astrotrain, Apeface, etc. And if they’d held onto their britches for three more days, the unveiling, and excitement thereof, of Unicron at SDCC would’ve been amazing. A figure like that deserves to be revealed at a convention, not the lame old internet.

I saw the Soundblaster pre-order up on TFSource - does anyone else know if that means the other major online TF focused retailers will get it as well? (despite being a Walmart exclusive)

So... what is the next War for Cybertron line going to be called? Wasn't that supposed to be revealed?

They need to meet their target Aug 31st considering this is such a show piece and less than 2000 backers

Bandai is one of the biggest top 3 toy makers in the world and yet they didnt need crowd sourcing. Really Hasbro?

Hasbro is soooooo poor I mean 4.5 billion in sales compared to Bandai's 6. Oh the shame lol

Now I am not discounting that their piece is nice. But I guarantee you that if this was in Bandai's hands they would make it more premium and figure out how to place those panels in the legs. And really even if they were add on pieces I would not mind. And I know there are FT sycophants here but the WeiJiang Omega is very very good for 130ish dollars. If any of those 3rd or 4th party takes over making Unicron hmmmm. Look at what a tiny unknown company did with Optimus prime which for the money blows Hasbro's 3.0 version. Now this is Hasbro.

Its embarrassing you need to crowd fund like some unknown enter the market toy maker/designer. WOW.

Now the CDN dollar is dogshit So if I wanted to drop $750 dollars for this meh piece on the off chance it will get all 8000 backers. UM I think there are some amazing works of art in collectibles I could drop almost 800 dollars sans shipping costs that if I needed to dump it I could easily get my money back.

Transformers are notoriously poor resale value adds

EDIT> I wonder what the new Toyworld would do with Unicron as of late wholly shit

Would someone mind linking the coverage of the Cyberverse panel? Can’t find it.
