This one is more your mileage might vary, because the hips on mine are VERY tight. And yes from side to side, mine can definitely hold the weight of the legs with no problems.

 

If you're going to TFN in 3 weeks it'll not last long.

Worse comes to worse, you'll need to open the joints up for some Future. So I am guessing till the end of days??

 

I finally had a chance to open up Maverick today. I transformed him to jet mode and back again, and I actually prefer his transformation to Road King. I had followed Ben's video and halfway through I just finished it up on my own. I had to loosen the screw on the chest piece bracket a half turn, it was too stiff to the point I felt like I would break something.

The transformation is much more involved than the Zeta one, but more rewarding. I am 100% satisfied with my choice of getting this guy even though I already had the completed Zeta set.

 

I’d been waiting to see if I could get a Zeta set for around $300 but this guy looks so great I just might have to go with a $600 Superion.

 

Just transformed him for the first time. Man tabbing him together wasn't fun. The actual transformation itself though is pretty easy IMHO. And the end result, extremely gorgeous. I've said before and I'll say it again, it's amazing how much of the bot they were actually able to collapse into the plane. Another excellent release from FansToys.

MP-44 better be something very special, because so far FT has pulled off two incredible engineering tricks:
1. All in one Motormaster transformation
2. Making a lot of Silverbolt disappear in alt mode.

 

I finally wrote them to see whats taking so long, but I expect to get a similar excuse.

True Story - I got on late to the Baba Maverick train and when my spidey sense tingled that he would over-sell, I just messaged him and said ship mine immediately or I’ll never buy from you again - and he shipped within an hr! I’ve had the fig for wks! All the while I’ve been sifting thru constant comments here of peeps who likely ordered before me having to wait for a 2nd batch I had no clue of at the time ... guess sometimes it does pay off to be a gangsta!  

 

I've never ordered from them before so I wasnt sure if this was a normal wait time or not. I guess it's not.

Guess it pays to be a "top customer" as he has told me I am. Spent enough money with him.

 

I will hopefully have Maverick today. Was supposed to be in my hands last week, but the FedEx bum skipped my delivery.

My body is ready for some fiddly metal hinged complex transforming.

 

 

Just got my copy, and after finally figuring out the shoulder joints, and putting on the alternate face on with the "chin", WOW, just WOW. Looks AMAZING. Colors/Paint are AMAZING. Face with Chin is AMAZING (to me looks much better than the "young" chinless face he comes with on. I already like this WAY more than my FT Hydra (my last FT Purchase)

The only real missing joints for me are the none double elbow joints. Rest seems fine up to now, got the A Stance i wanted, or pretty close, and wouldnt practically need much more, just a wee bit that is like 5 to 10 degree more would be ideal.
Only loose joint i have found up to now is some red pieces that form the back of the chest. Everything else seems tight.

Well, that is all for now, on to more exploration on this nice looking bot. Not sure when i will have an hour to spare to attempt transformation for the first time.

 

Got in my Maverick and it's really weird. I think Roadking is an objectively better figure, and his transformation results (the all-in-one truck) are far more impressive... but I like Maverick more. I love his jet mode, I love how cleverly the torso hides away into the middle sections. I love how kibble-free they managed to make it. I love the robot mode too, it's just a really nice looking figure and I love transforming it.

I've been out of the 3P game for some time now, but coming back to these two releases has really spoiled me.

 

What the actual fuck, bababobo!! I paid on July 6 and jack shit as far as shipping goes! I just messaged him asking wtf is the deal?! I would have paid the full amount. I swear I’m done fucking with Chinese sellers just to save a few bucks. 16 days and no shipping is ridiculous when they don’t even bother to say, hey fuck you.
