I was asking around but couldn’t get an answer. It may just be mine, but I prefer the way the original back bumper looks. It looks more defined I think.

Mine has a little bit of trouble staying together, but I don't think that much. I'll have to take a look when I get home.

I tried every angle and trick to possibly get it to stay closed, but nada.

It's got to be a matter of filing down one part or another to fix the clearance, but I haven't had the time to look into it.

Do the tires touch the ground if you angle the feet?

Yeah they do, but only slightly. It looks like the support to stand comes from the extended outer back heel and the middle toe. The tire would stay in place while the foot around it would pivot

I was seriously getting this as soon as I got SS Ironhide, but if the upgrade keeps the back from tabbing together...

I wonder if DNA Design will work on a redo if we bring this situation up to them.

I got it because of the front bumper and DOTM style guns. The bumper makes a huge difference. He looks MP quality with it on.

Mine does keep the tailgate separated a bit, but it's not terrible. I'll have to see if there's any way to remedy that.

I rewatched Kevin Liu's video on the upgrade kit and his bumper looks fine...I think?

The rear bumper will seal properly if you don't push the truck bed down into place. Something's not fitting right, because he'll pop in either direction and they just never sit flush.

It's so annoying, I'm considering putting the stock Hasbro pieces back in.

I ended up doing just that. The feet weren’t so awesome that it was worth the gap. Besides the real upgrade was the folding bumper.

I saw Chefatron’s review of the design kit and he managed to tab the rear together just fine.

Maybe you guys have bad copies?

Wish I could try the feet, but the screws on the left leg are so stripped I can’t get them to unscrew at all.

Same as mine too. Annoying indeed.

Interesting. So the back of truck mode doesn't peg together correctly with the upgrade feet? Doesn't bug me one bit; the truck bed didn't & wouldn't peg together right no matter what I did.

And what's this about a DotM redeco of SS14? I haven't heard anything about that. Not that it matters, it'll probably look uglier anyway (akin to the RotF/DotM repaint of SS06 Starscream or the DotM repaint of SS04 Ratchet).

I haven’t heard anything about that either. And there doesn’t seem to be much stock into it since Ironhide had never gotten a serious deco change like Ratchet or Starscream.

And hey, if DNA Design did a redo of the DK-10 upgrade kit for Ironhide that allowed the back to tab properly, they’d say something about it, right? Or at least acknowledge the hiccup?

Interesting...taking a closer look at the truck mode with the upgrade feet, and I see a very interesting little problem that just reeks of somebody not thinking or paying attention when this was in the design phase: the plastic behind the license plate halves (that tabs together at the bottom) goes up way too high. That's probably one reason why the truck bed won't go all the way down...it literally CAN'T.

As for the two halves of the truck bed themselves with the Autobot symbol...ehh. I can hazard a guess based on this: the tab is just way too short to work. (Remember, my copy of SS14 WON'T tab in regardless.)

Huh. This is odd. The wheels don't quite have enough clearance to roll properly. They're grinding against...something.:Gouki:
