It looks like the colors are more rich and the webs on the costume are darker and more crisp. It's the same mold, just a slightly altered deco. Personally, I'd rather get the red and black version, but this isn't a bad option for anyone who missed out on the Homecoming version. Jiren pre-orders are already up at AE.
The ladies came in today. I'm actually surprised by Cammy, I like her a lot more than I thought I would.

Cammy is pretty good, but her 'butt plate' is weird. Especially when Mika B doesnt have a butt plate. It's a weird design choice, especially for how bad it looks if you put her in victory pose. I'm torn on what to do, because the Storm Guile and Sagat are definite wants, but Figuarts has Vega coming out. Frustration. I would like basically, just the Street Fighter 2 line up. I'm hoping Figuarts will do Guile, Sagat,Balrog and Bison. Disappointed there weren't more figuarts reveals @ SDCC. My only joy was that I got SDCC Goku Black for 115 shipped, a big win considering it would have cost basically the same to get him if I went to SDCC or NYCC. TECHNICALLY less since I believe the figure was 75 and one day tickets are at least 55 for SDCC or NYCC. That Piccolo Daimao just makes me wonder how long we're gonna have to wait for Piccolo 2.0.
Based solely on my own personal experience from owning Storm's Zangief... I'd stick with SHF versions and only buy the Storm versions of the large characters... and then only out of necessity. I'm going to assume I just got a bad figure, but my Zangief loses upper body parts like an early MAFEX figure. Only one of the three heads actually pops into place & stays attached, while the shoulders, biceps, and hands come off routinely when posing. The only reasons I haven't thrown him in the trash are that he looks fantastic, and that I got him for $40-45 at a Bluefin Warehouse sale.
I think that's normal, I got Zangief too. The yelling head doesn't stick well on mine, I'm assuming because the jaw is lower and throws off the measurements for the neck joint. Fortunately, whatever pops off easily pops back on and nothing feels loose. I'm chalking all that up Storm still learning their craft when Zangief was made. I have no buyer regret since my favorite street fighters are the Z-Man and Rainbow Mika.
Yeah, I think Cammy was made first with the butt piece as some sort of grand experiment to keep all of her well known attributes while being able to pose, and like what happens with experiments, some of them fail, so when Mika came around, they just went back to having her glutes sculpted to her legs like you'd expect. That's why when people say Storm shouldn't make a regular costume Cammy only because SHF did it already, I counter that Cammy's rear deserves a second chance.
Amazon.jp dropped these to me today... Now that I can find the figures I want in there, I'll be getting most of my figures from Japan (so long as I'm able to get msrp or very close). I'm going to try and find Storm figures for cheap for the larger cast. My Storm Mike Tyson is kinda dodgy, so in thinking, overall, Storm has really fragile build quality compared to figuarts. I hope the Guile has better build, or better, SHF makes a Guile figure.
Got this guy on Prime Day I haven't opened a new SHF figure in a while and was really impressed with this one. Wanting it for a while after seeing it on sale at BBTS and glad I waited and got a better deal from Amazon.

Got in Severus Snape from Amazon today and so here is my current SH Figurarts collection With the Dragon Star line I have no need to get more SH Figurarts Dragon Ball figures. I had Snape on preorder before McFarlane announced their own Harry Potter line, so they'll be my go to if they make more then the initial wave and Buckbeak. I have Infinity War Scarlet Witch on preorder and plan to get Vicious when he comes in stock on BBTS or Amazon
