That seems about what I’d pay as well.

    That makes more sense!

I’m curious, how much is shipping to the Netherlands?

Because I put my pre-order in on the first day, I’m paying import taxes for the ¥50,000+shipping original price, rather than the ~¥33,000 final price.
Have emailed Amazon Japan about changing that, but they said they don’t/won’t recalculate import costs until after delivery.
Anyone else have any luck changing theirs? I sent another email, haven’t given up yet. I know it’ll be returned to me afterwards, but I’d rather simply pay less up front.

Mine is 321.28 shipped from Amazon. Been saving since last summer before the price was even given, so I now have enough for 5 if I so desire (but...why lol??). Point is, I’m not sure why the price is still being argued at this point, we’ve known for over a year it was coming and it was going to be over $250, Amazon jp is and always have been known for having major discounts on MP figures. But instead of taking advantage (of 300-310)most complained vs taking action. Then the time frame of the discount was up, same folks complained that NOW they have to pay over $400 - $450. If it’s not “logical” to pay and do something else with your cash then fine as we should respect ones choice. But some of you guys are beating a dead horse.

To be fair, I haven’t really read any complaints about paying more than the Amazon Japan price. Regrets, maybe, but the complaints recently are the same old “it’s too expensive” and “I don’t like the backpack” reruns. Yes it’s true the people citing the price as their deterrent quote $450 or $500, but that’s because they were never going to buy it even at $310. Hyperbole makes their outrage seem more justified.

Well, one last giftcard and my Amazon Prime is paid off. And with the remaining gift card balance, I've taken a chunk off of Black Arachnia's bill.

Still, with Bee 2.0 similarly paid off a while back, I can just relax and wait for MP45/46 to roll around. And I can continue to deny how silly the prices for this line are getting, because it's all paid off early in small instalments. Yay?

I agree! It's ridiculous how much the savings varies. I wish it was the same for all of us. Though shopping around and looking at the varieties definitely helps me make better choices. I used to just buy from a singular retailer, then realized that I could save if I bought from another. I tend to be leary about some things though.

For people who haven't pre-ordered MP-44 yet, and missed out on the AJP discount. Nippon Yasan seems to be a good option. Right now they're donating 5% of what they make from orders on the site to KyoAni. For those of you who don't know, recently an anime studio in Japan named Kyoto Animations had an arson attack, 34 dead and 34 injured. It's the biggest violent crime in post-war Japan.

On their site, they have pre-orders for MP Bluestreak+ and MP Bumblebee v2 as well. Their shipping cost seems standard for anything coming from Japan. They have MP-44 listed for $310 USD, cheaper than what AJP is atm. $15 probably isn't much, but a little extra always helps.

Good way to show your support, if you haven't pre-ordered yet and plan to. It's only until the 29th of July - no need to worry if you can't make it, KyoAni has received a lot of support from the GoFundMe made by Sentai Filmworks - one of their collaborators in the animation industry. This is just an option.

    EDIT:
It's only for in-stock items, so pre-orders won't count towards the donation. While there are plenty of MP Transformers on their site you can buy, it was irresponsible for me to overlook this detail. Sorry.

Dang that’s nice of them. The KyoAni stuff really hit me. Good to see more people are helping.

This. Back on topic: Seems the average price that MP44 ver 3.0 is going for is minimum 330 to 440. Which is pretty decent imho.

So there’s still a way for me to avoid spending $600 on this guy? That’s good.

Why are you forced to spending that much? If that the case some seller is taking yiu for a ride.

Going by his avatar, KayODave is Canadian, so $600 is the going rate at Canadian e-tailers.
