More likely if they get that many backers they'll start adding extras, like a Galvatron mini-figure or a making-of book.

Agreed. An cost savings will go into extras, not a lowered price.

A history of Unicron book would be excellent, or maybe a reprint of Transformers Marvel Comics #75. A figure would be interesting just not sure who it would be.

this might be coming down the road but I'm surprised they haven't tapped into the huge fan-base in China to help fund this

unless the Takara-Tomy campaign is open to the rest of Asia, they seem to be leaving a sizable number of potential pledges on the table

Unless fans in japan pick up the slack, I don’t see unicron getting funded. The current growth of the campain is way too slow. SDCC, the prime time for attention, has not brought enough growth and hasbro releasing an insane amount of pre-orders for retail and exclusives for the timeframe of august-october has fans having to decide which should they get

They really should of saved this campain for around february near NY Toy Fair. The timing really hurts

Same thing happened with Star Wars Sail Barge. It started slow and then took off towards the end with the final days garnering tons of orders. It should fund. I'll be getting one to go with mp-44-47!

Well I'm guessing the asian countries close to Japan could use a forwarding service. TTMALL shipping is free, so the only shipping expense would be from Japan to China/Hong Kong/ Singapore.

    Re-re-reposting this:

In the first 35 days of the Barge campaign only had 3,960 backers. In the last 6 days the campaign got an additional 4,850 backers to total out at 8,810 backers. The last 6 days got 122% the amount of backers as the first 35 days.

Im curious what data you have to support your argument.

It's still insanely crazy to me how this will contain NO Electronics, No Diecast Parts, and it's going to weigh a whopping 19 lbs. (not including the weight of the Stand itself) Even with the thicker Hasbro/Takara Plastics of Old, Fort Max (The largest and heaviest Transformers Ever Made during that time period) wasn't 19 lbs only about 9 lbs. and even he contained minimal Diecast. I want to see this Unicron's inside's so badly, so curious from a purely scientific point of view how they did this. I wonder of maybe it has thin diecast slabs to make it give off weight hidden inside some of the pieces maybe, OR Perhaps the Larger thicker Joints themselves are what's making it heavier. Somebody should have asked that Question. What makes it so heavy? Because hollowness in general and the thinness of the plastics in most of today's Hasbro toys overall, make them all so lightweight and much much cheaper to produce from a Factory standpoint.

I’m so sure that this will get funded, that I’m willing to buy a copy for anyone who wants it if it doesn’t.

That's why I asked about the plastic earlier. Lewin optimus is 19 lbs and full of diecast. And he's the same height

After Unicron, do you guys think HasLab should do proper G1 accurate combiner teams with proper scaling for Siege toys or something else?
