You won’t be able to really tell the difference in the shades of blue without photos of the figures side-by-side.

I’m curious too but comparing stock images just gives a basic idea of differences in paint apps.

Skywarp supposedly gets released in in mid August. I’m looking forward to adding another Seeker to the team and then T-Cracker later in the fall!

Eh, this isn't entirely accurate. (The staff have lied to you, it's not your fault.) When using Brickseek for Walmart (which does still work and has full access) it can offer up incorrect stock levels because they sell so much, so fast, the computer hasn't updated the levels, yet. Target, on the other hand, (and I speak only for my own experience and no one else's) if it says it's in stock (and they no longer list the amount, just that it's in stock) it's actually in stock. Every single time, but one, I have been able to find or get someone to find the item(s) in question. It's that Target doesn't WANT to do their job. I was actually asked to leave the Mentor, Ohio store because I used Brickseek. (Before you ask, no I didn't cause a scene. I was so shellshocked by it I just kind of walked out of the store in a daze.) I ended up going to another Target, using the same method and I was able to get what I was looking for, no problem.

TL;DR Walmart stock levels aren't exactly the best, Target's more on the ball, they just don't want to play ball.

Target's the Beta to Walmart's Alpha Dog. They're desperate that you'll buy something, anything. Even with the 5% from using the RedCard, you're still paying out the rectum for the same product. Case in point, my son loves those GoGo Squeez applesauce pouches. A 4-pack at Target is $1.79. With 5% off, that's $1.70. Do that 7 times (which is the amount Sam's Club offers in a case) and it's $11.90. Sam's Club's case was $11.70. It's only $.20, yes, but I had to go there anyway and Target lost a sale. And certainly more than that because they're behind Walmart in Transformers. I'll give Walmart credit, I've found most of Siege there since it came out.

Target wants our money? They need to step up their game. I do see a day when Target might be a closed chain, like many others before it. I don't want that happening.
Another case of this? In my area are several collectors, one of them works for a local Target, and aside from Springer being street dated, the rest were not and he found case after case of new TF product (older, but case fresh when I say new) and even he couldn't figure out why it hadn't been stocked, they just didn't do it. So he did.

Brickseek does work, even at Target, it just doesn't display how much stock they have and it seems to only work on their exclusives. Sometimes, mainline figures will show up as in stock, but no numbers. Walmart works fine.

I'd just like for the set to show up on their online page (not redcard exclusive, hopefully) already. I don't have enough free time to keep taking the bus only to risk getting another lazy employee (and with my luck, it will be. Hunting at target never works out for me...) and I'm not paying $120 for TFsource's pre order or UK shipped.... And I REALLY want these guys, too....

I assume they will - they already have the stickers laid out for the mold. In bot mode, that means some extra color on the wings, shoulder pylons, shoulders, and lower legs. That'll probably help a lot.

Out here, Target's been opening these larger stores with more open spaces. With the lack of product on shelves, they look incredibly sparse. It's like walking into an AT&T/Verizon store at the mall. Some slipcovers on the left wall, some chargers on the right wall, and absolutely nothing in between.

A good assumption, but not true. Amazon was temporarily selling the toys for $30 each. Then they dropped the price back down to MSRP. Maybe it's a function of their AI pricing or something. When a 3P raises or lowers prices, Amazon tends to follow (sometimes).

I was able to grab a 3rd Refraktor in a brief window when Amazon had him at $20 again... but with so much product just announced at SDCC, I'm starting to wonder if stores will even get re-stocked! Certainly, in the past, stores did skip entire waves or get very little of each. Hasbro runs the risk of disappointing a lot of customers by releasing too many different things in small quantities.

Very interesting and weird. I wonder what they would have done if you refused. Would they have called the cops? And said what? "Officer, this guy mentioned a website and we don't like that website so we told him to leave." Or do they just have the right to kick people out for any reason? I guess they do. Seems like the kind of PR they wouldn't want though if one decided to contact corporate or something. At any rate, when I did it I just told them "online said these were in stock, but I didn't see any. If I had the number, could you check?" I'm sure they have no clue that it's not on their website.

It could be due to people channeling their inner Karen and demanding that they be allowed to purchase street dates items.

That logic doesn't work because each of those fembots had different body types, while all the seekers seen on the show had only one, the same body for all. Except the coneheads, of course.

You see, that is the color layout I wished hasbro used for this rainmakers set. If I do buy them, I'm painting those added colors to match that image.

If Hasbro can officially do 2 distinct characters be nearly identical I shouldn't feel weird "repurposing" figures of the same character into new ones.

You changed your 20 cent savings analogy from Target vs Walmart to Target vs Sam's Club, a place that you need a $45/year or more membership to, if you don't want to add an additional 10% to your price.

Coneheads is the apt application to my point. Same with the Datsun bros. They were sold with the same features from diaclones with slight retools but Floro Dery personalized each of them.

Now that I have Lancer in hand with the rest of the girls, I can totally see them as being the Autobot “seekers”.

I always felt the Datsuns were because there were 3 of them and they had wings.

I really want the rainmaker set. My fear is this will be hard to find. Didnt someone say only 2 per store?

Go go Deadpool Rangers! *shreds wicked air guitar*

But I truly am loving the neon-ness of the Rainmakers. It warms my 80s/90s heart. I do wish they'd be sold seperately too though. I already have Acid, I just need the other two. Not an army, or in this case, air force type of collector.
