Yep, was mainly thinking Chromedome, hardhead, and pointblank. They seem to all have some similarities (the hand groove, hard sculpted details), but some things stand out as being very different like the feet having big chamfered edges, the way the hip skirts were designed, or the way the masters were designed.

 

Right. I think stuff like the Monsterbots work very well. Power Baser I’m just not convinced on. I’m not convinced on him in general. One day I’ll figure out if I want him or not, and whichever version.

 

Same, I had been going back and forth for awhile now, but finally pulled the trigger today due to the impending rerelease and what we’ve seen with Minerva. Still not sure if I made the right decision since I was hoping to use him for a specific purpose, but I can’t deny that I’ve been really wanting to handle the engineering.

I’ll try to post pictures of the Japanese G1 group all together when I have them all in the same room then. Maybe that’ll help your decision.

Yeah it’s the Minerva which is changing my decisions. Cause while she is inaccurate, and I care about that stuff with SGMF, she does look nice.

But then it gets even harder cause the black Power Baser looks so cool and possibly more than the original. I dunno. It’s hard. Has the black version gotten an upgrade kit for his hands yet?

Yep, then there’s the whole god bomber, and while im not always the biggest fan of that design in combined mode it does have all the headmaster juniors with it. This company seems to be going somewhere with its releases. Masterforce is a kinda messed up show considering they enlisted children into a interstellar war, but I do like it a lot.

 

I have FT's Dracula and it's one of my favorites in my collection. Hope to pick up Iron Will and Cupola in the near future and crossing my fingers on finding a deal on a Lupus sometime.

 

Oh I’ll get a God Bomber regardless. Masterforce is one of my favourite Transformers shows.

The black version has basically all of the changes and improvements the V2 Power Baser now has - much better hands, folding bumper, chromed parts etc. so no new hands needed

 

That sounds good. Is it any cheaper to get the black one compared to preordering the new one?

 

New they both run $200-210 but the black version can be found second hand around $160.

Love my Black Power Baser but I had a ratchet joint blow out on the hip of the inner robot and I've been waiting on a replacement part since the end of March...  

I have him stored in a wooden box my daughter made for me to store tv remotes and whenever I open the box... It's like a sad coffin.

Sort of, but he's missing a leg on the inner robot. I'm leaving it alone till I get him patched up. It will almost feel like getting an awesome new figure. I was loving this thing before it broke on me.
